The figs are growing! But none have ripened for me yet, here in zone 5B. Waiting…waiting… Will I get to try any of my beautiful,, very rare figs? Stay tuned!

  1. Green cuttings are very hard to propagate. They need a high humidity level 90 plus percent. It can be done it just can't be done in open air like lignified cuttings can. They dry out too quickly. There's a fellow on YouTube that propagates them.

  2. Wow 🤩 you do have a lot of fig varieties and your doing really well growing them 🙌🏾
    I do suggest covering your air-layers with foil. Roots form underground in dark, so by covering your air layers it tricks them into thinking they are underground and should produce roots 🙌🏾

  3. Great looking orchard, I look forward to a tour! Thanks for the mention on my Black Tuscan. This has been a weird weather year, all of my figs have been ripening EXCEPT my Black Tuscan. Hopefully soon, the weather is warming up again. The figoin you brought me is doing great, I hope I get at lease one to ripen this year, we'll see!
