I think next season if you stay up you should play 4-3-3/4-1-4-1 with the CDM holding and staying back you have a better chance of keeping hold of the ball a bit to counter the awful defence, great series though

Docks, a tip for defending. Try double tapping and holding R1/RB while defending. It makes your teammates hard mark players who could get passed to. Im not very good at it yet as I just discovered it but its definitely helped me.
Secondly, does anyone feel like this fifa in particular, every AI team plays the exact same way? They are almost all ultra defensive, counter attacking. And when they get up to the final third they all become Barcelona during 2009-15 passing around tiki taka until one player defender runs out of position leaving an opening for them to get a tap in. For me this has been every single game. Also the defense is programmed so poorly its astounding.
Just turn the difficulty down..at least you’ll stop moaning about it then
