  1. What I take away from this movie is that we mostly views our parents as just that, our parents. Annoying, old, set in their ways. We forget they were young once, with lives and dreams of their own…

  2. "We just don't recognize the most significant moments in our lives when they are happening." -Moonlight Graham. That is the message of this film: Every moment counts. Your time here is precious. Appreciate life. No regrets.

  3. the part as we see The Godfather showing at the picture house and the car number plate from '72 was showing how Ray is pushed out of time to meet Archie as he was before he died and then the magic of the film bought him back as a youth to join in with the team.
some films you just have to put logic aside and just immerse yourself in the magic of the film making.

  4. In the hotel.. the newspaper read that Terrance Mann's father called the police because he had been trying, unsuccessfully, to contact him. Maybe Terrance was already a ghost when Ray went to visit him… Maybe that's why he was able to go to the other side. Just a thought.

  5. Asia and BJ, a lot of this movie was filmed in Eastern Iowa, like Dubuque and surrounding cities. This is where I grew up. I was in college when they were filming it and my Advertising teacher was in charge in securing housing for the Actors. A lot of those homes sat on the bluffs overlooking the Mississippi River. They filmed the Boston Scene in Dubuque, just down the street from my college. Also, side note, my good college friend, Barry, a top athlete in track and football, was working as a Valet at the Greyhound Racing Track and who pulls up, was James Earl Jones. My friend had a great conversation with him and parked his car and got a good tip! The field was built really close to where my grandmother lived.

In the final scene of the movie, on the radio, they announced that if you can, the people from my city drive out to the field and put their lights on and my town definitely showed up!

  6. this is a great movie that tugs at the heartstrings who wouldn't want to play catch with their dad one more time.
I’m not a patron member wish I could be but that’s not possible at this time I have a few sports movies I think your members would enjoy. I’m been a follower of your channel for years started watching y’all in the music days. Here are some sports movies: A League of Their Own is a baseball movie, Miracle on Ice is a hockey movie, Rudy is a baseball movie, Million Dollar Baby is a boxing movie, The Pride of the Yankees is a baseball movie, White Men Can’t Jump a comedy about street basketball, Raging Bull a boxing movie, Rocky a boxing movie.

You don’t have to know anything about boxing, football, or hockey to enjoy these classics. All these movies go deeper than just the sports they portray.

  7. Oh my after seeing this movie hundreds of times and watching in depth videos breaking it down I just now realized when he asked “is this heaven?” Indicated they weren’t in heaven they didn’t make it and the corn field was like some sort of purgatory 😮

  8. There are so many amazing sports movies for you to watch (based on true stories)— Miracle (hockey), The Rookie (baseball), Secretariat or Seabiscuit (horse racing), MoneyBall (baseball)…. You should start a series of sports movies that are based on true stories. ✌️❤️

  9. It's never actually confirmed who the Voice was. The prevailing theory is that it's the voice of God. The other question is who is the actor doing the voice. That had never really confirmed it but supposedly the author of the book, Field of Dreams, W.P. Kinsella, said that he was told that they had actor Ed Harris do the voice, which was Amy Madigan's husband, the actress who played Ray's wife, Annie.
