In this exciting video, we welcome the newest powerhouse to the farm—James has officially purchased a Fendt 1167, making it the largest tractor on the farm! While we gear up for the future, it’s time to say goodbye to the CAT 865C after 14 incredible seasons of hard work.
We dive into the start of oat drilling across Cambridgeshire as harvest officially wraps up, with all the straw baled and prepped for delivery to power stations. Michael stops by with expert agronomy advice to ensure James is set up for success, and the team begins transferring all the GPS systems into the Fendt 1167 so Glynn can get straight to drilling.
Don’t miss out on this exciting farm update as we look toward the future with new tech and bid farewell to a workhorse that’s been with us for years.
As always James answers some of your questions at the end of the video! Join us for all the action, problem-solving, and behind-the-scenes of farm life.

Glad YouTube has afforded you a new 1167. Brilliant videos and looking forward to seeing the drilling in full action.
James ,
You look so much slimer than that pesky cousin Michael 😂
Now can I have the cap please 😮
I am unsure on Michael’s passion wagon. Please get him back in a Land Rover… sharpish
I'd say you would be good craic to work for .you have a very infections laugh 😃 you come across as very relaxed. Keep up the good work 👍
The Claas quad would be a superior choice over the Fendt two track.
In your shop have you got Green Socks like you had on with Cousin Michael at your Weighing
Will the big Fendt last 14 seasons?
You said you got invited to Buckingham Palace for you innovative farming methods snd CTF. How did that come about, as in who noticed your work and put you forward, and why then would the government defra whoever it may be not take farmers like yourself into discussions about how to produce food efficiently
You can see cousin Michaels keen to get some crops in so he can get some chemicals on 😂😅🤣
Your hedge cutter guys will love you for chucking that rubble in bottom of hedge 🙄
How much crop loss are you getting when you see the green strips with seed coming over the back of the combine??
Hi James, could we have an in-depth look at the new Fendt? Love the content!
Those losses definitely look header related.
Thanks for taking the time and effort to make these such interesting and professional videos.
One this I would say could improve your videos would be some drone footage of the machinery at work. With such an impressive fleet it would be great to see them at work
Loving your channel and the detail you go into makes it very interesting, can I ask how many hectares have you turned over to SFI..?
Hi Jamie excellent video as you say if we lost glyphosate it would a disaster for arable farming in this country. But who are these people who decide this they're not farmer's !! We've had to stop growing oil seed rape because we can't control the flea beetle, and also using more insecticide to do a less efficient job 🤔 Did you run articulated tractors in the past when you referred to big four-wheel drive tractors ? And when you commented in the past the John Deere 2850 was one of your favourite tractors from year's back you went up on a pedestal in my estimations😜👌👍
Good angle on if you got a million pound , I never liked ,the joke about the farmer winning the lotto,
He said he keep farming until it was all gone,
Never liked the joke,
Yes, farming in in the blood,👍
What a lovely disease to have ,
It keeps you tuned into life a lot more than ,
The old saying what could possibly go wrong,
A financial planner told me once !!!!!!!!!!
Hope Freddie recovers soon.
Which one has the short fat hairy legs and wig 😂
Your channel deserves so much more exposure, you give out lots of important information and knowledge.
Fire your combine operators…. look at what's gone over the back…😮😮😮😮
He’s running the sprayer so close to the secondary cultivation I can’t see how there’s any grass weed control
james the banter between you and michael is priceless, well worth watching just for that alone. keep up the good work and banter. really am enjoying your informative videos. thank you.
It seems to me that for all the land that you farm brilliantly well, you don,t mention any stone damage, so I have to assume that all of your land must be stone free, which has to be a godsend in its own right.
I tend to leave the more serious questions to those in the know and others . Mine is, If I write to King Charles and ask him to give you an OBE for services to farming, will I be successful?
Great show
Taught fendt service was causing problems with Parts.
Ever tried a Fendt 1050 ??
Excellent video again James.. I see you buckled to Glynn's pressure and he got his way and 1167 Fendt is No1 in the fleet..
Out of interest, is there much difference between the build spec of Cat and Fendt crawlers .

Great video again! We’ve been told that BASF are hoping to get label approval within the next couple of weeks to use Liberator on oats again for grass weeds, fingers crossed as we need something!
Another great video James. I had a father like yours, was certain he had a grin on his face when dumping something or walking past a piece of rubbish such as string and not picking it up, bless him. Your comment on Roundup is about hammer on nail correct., one of the safest products we use, in fact safer than Nicotine and Table salt.
When drilling starts the anticipation of the new seedlings emerging is one of the best feelings in agriculture, love it.
Would love to see you and Harry Metcalfe (Harry's Farm) discussing farming from two perspectives.
So who do use aggri, soyl/ frontier.
Found this a few weeks ago by chance love the content. Is the old aero drone just off the a14 anything to do with you.
I think you should have waited and got a xerion 12.650 on demo before buying the fendt. It’ll out preform it in every way!
Regardless of that still awesome machines!
What's the single biggest field that you work on (how many acres/hectares) ?
As always, great to see another video 👌
I’m 9 and love your videos, we live on a farm too but I love watching what’s going on with you. Please can I have the horsch hat and come look round? I am teaching people about farms on my instagram account and I’m writing a book at school to teach my classmates about farming too. My question is what will you buy next from horsch?
Me and my boy would love a tour of your farm we do come up your way as have family in Huntingdon we are down ner Winchester farming background
Bit of an upgrade Glen from old Joe's masseys 😂
I do wonder if governments, under WEF influence, are fairly relaxed about the increasing pressures on Food Security…. banning glyphosate, greenhouse emissions from livestock, placing land into stewardship etc……. It all seems to be going in just one direction.
Two portly blokes trying to look fit strutting across the fields 😊
Listening to you 2 walking across the field puffing and panting 😂😂 great content though love watching you have some good farms and excellent staff
I find lexion throws it down the right side of the straw
Fastrac icon and fendt 728 thoughts/ review would be good to hear!
Hope the on trailer seed dresser worked ok. Could you explain to the wider non farming public the regulations around dressing seed on the farm and the requirement for testing of operators and equipment as this prevents smaller farms from doing this. Outside of Europe these regulations don't seem to exist. Great videos.
