The coops aren't really necessary just feed any carnivore slime with a veggie or fruit slime and focus on Gardens because you'll get a much bigger Haul

I unlocked the area where you walk through the cave first. I free ranged my chickens… all kinds… I do not recommend this if you like your FPS. I needed up vacuuming them all into storage pods. SSSOOOO MANY CHICKENS!!!!!
