  1. keeping this spoiler free – if, at some point in the future, you get the option to ask Jaheira to join you, always do it even if it sounds like you shouldn't. She has an annoying tendency to get killed when she's on her own, and you really don't want that to happen.

also, this game is at 120 years after baldur's gate 2.

  2. Like I said in my spoiler free overview of Act 2, you really should go to camp/long rest before going any further into this town. You will miss a companion quest trigger otherwise. It might take two long rests, not sure. Or, you may not have high enough approval with them to trigger it. Either way, I rested before the town and it triggered for me, and the NPC disappeared after talking to them once. But, knowing this game, probably more than one way to start it, so who knows if it is needed.

  3. Hey Alpax, a tip with Wyll as someone who played Warlock in my own run. Even through he has limited spell slots, feel free to use them a lot more readily, because remember that unlike other spellcasters, Wyll regains his spells on a short rest, which you do often. Also, Karlach's reaction to seeing Jaheira is so precious, you might want to bring her in for the next time you talk to Jaheira. There might also be something related to her quest in this very area 🙂 (But seriously, beyond me just being biased for Karlach, I feel like she contributes a lot more to the story this act than Lae'zel which had her big plot beat — for now — in the Creche)

  4. The game is roughly a 100 years after the BG2. The human companions from BG2 are mostly dead (with minor exceptions) but some of those with longer livespans do still live. Jaheira was indeed neutral but leaned towards good. As you will see with Karlach people have definitely heard of Jaheira's deeds during the Bhaalspawn crisis and prior.

Fun fact. I did 'sweat' a lot in the dialogue with Jaheira in my game. I guess it came from my character trying to hide the existence of the prism a secret.
