Movie didn't do justice to kirei. That fight and his motivations were so underwhelming compared to the Visual novel. Also best fight by far in hf in spark liner high:) Movie was ok but could've done better if it was instead made into a tv series like ubw.
The Illya scene at the end always hits me so hard, its such an emotional and sweet moment, with Illya feeling content and being able to help her younger brother who she really does care so much for, even with all the conflicting feelings due to their past and how short a time they got to spend together.
The movie didn't go into their relationship quite as much as I would have personally liked compared to the Visual Novel but I understand why since this trilogy was very much more Sakura's story.
But the Illya and Shirou relationship is probably my favourite out of all of them when it comes to FSN. She deserves all the happiness in the world, and a long lasting relationship with Shirou. You get some nice touches in this trilogy also showing how much Archer still cares for her, pushing the responsibility onto Shirou while also being very gentle with Illya in the scenes they have together.
A shame we never got the original Illya route but hey at least there is Prillya which has been going super hard over the last arc and has some of the best fate moments overall.
They really don't explain much in the movie, so you have no way to understand what is happening (for example why Shirou came back in a brand new body), unless you did the visual novel. But I guess people in the comments won't fail explain everything thoroughly lol.

They have a character that make a cameo in 38:51, Aozaki Touko, the one who made Shirou's artificial body. And they also share a same universe with Fate series too.

The puppet master in the end of the movie was the one how made the body for Shirou and she is from (Garden of sinners movies)
So, the short explanation to what happened with Shirou in the end is simply his physical body being integrated and through the use of 3rd magic that a Magician got from the Root, his soul was materialized and transferred inside a puppet via Touko Aozaki, a mage that specializes in puppets and the sister of the only Magician who has the Fifth Magic and considered as one of the greatest Magician, Aozaki Aoko, Magician of Blue. A further explanation of this Magic stuff and the Root itself is present in Kara no Kyoukai or Garden of Sinners in English and it has 8 Movies made by ufotable prior to adapting Fate Zero. It also serves as a side story to Kinoko Nasu's other works and one of his more famous works other than Fate, Tsukihime and Witch on the Holy Night. Tsukihime is a story focusing more on Mystic Eyes and stuff with Vampires while MahoYo is more focused on the story of Aoko before becoming Magician of Blue.

So in then end where you see the red hair women walk past rin and sakura, her name is aozaki tokou and she is the number 1 puppet creater in type moon she was paid to make shirou a pepper body, you can se her further in kara no kyoukai (the garden of sinners) she will also be in the upcoming movie mahoutsukai no yoru

in fate 2006 it hurts more. in each route it has a different meaning for shirou, in fate unlimited blade work it is: change fate. in fate heaven feel is: reject fate. and in fate of 2006 it is: those who saw it will understand.
