  1. As I've explained before…
Keep in mind that's not Hercules, that's Heracles. Hercules is the Roman version, Heracles is the original Greek version.
Mars is Roman. Apollo is Greek. Both are the Sun god
Neptune is Roman. Poseiden is Greek. Both are the Water/Rain god.
Hercules is based on Heracles but they are not the same person.
    Beserker is Heracles, not Hercules.

  2. Weird thing Illya is 18-19 during this story, she is technically older than Shirou.

Rin's father is more of an asshole, it wasn't just that he sent Sakura to the Matou family, he thought her being a mage of any degree was better than being a normal person. He didn't know the details of the Matou family magic, but he did know it wasn't going to be a pleasant time, as all old mage families are F'd up.

In the Fate route the one your likely never going to see Shirou and Saber became lovers, during UBW its Rin and finally we have the storyline where Sakura gets Senpai.

  3. During the first movie when Shirou stepped into the shadow on the ground he almost passed out from the 'visions' he saw. Sakura's memories were in those visions, and that was how he started to have an inkling to the Ribbon/Shadow's identity.

Shinji in the Fate/Extra series is actually a good guy (mostly), and was actually useful.

  4. Unlike the first movie, I genuinely have no beef with the 2nd adaptation. One of the reasons I particularly love this route is because the Sakura x Shirou ship felt more deserving in terms of emotional growth and helplessness.

The Hercules battle is one of the greatest anime fights of all time. But since two OP servants (Gilgamesh and Dark Saber) resorted underhanded tactics to beat him, that pretty much proves they acknowledge he is a greater warrior than them.

Sakura's dark decent was a master-piece with a fitting end to shinji. Waiting for Medusa to pop-off next movie now.😎

  5. Heaven's Feel is my favorite route. In others route, he wants to became hero of justice and while I found it admirable, I also saw it as foolish dream. Like Archer, I also doesn't like his dream, because it will end in great suffering.

While in Heaven's Feel, Shirou is willing to sacrifice his dream and ideals for someone he loves, and that makes him more humane in my eyes.

Also both Shirou and Sakura are broken people, but I really like that their flaws mending each other. That "bed" scene feels bittersweet, it makes me sad because of what she had been through, but I also feel happy because her happiness in the warm embrace of someone she loves.

  6. I love Shirou in this route the best. His struggles in this route feel less idealistic compare to his Unlimited Bladework and more realistic. This route feel more tie-in to Fate/Zero than Unlimited Bladework to me at least, the darker tone is what i love about Zero.

  7. I was hoping for another ufotable adaptation like say Fate route or hollow ataraxia? Or Tsukihime?

But I guess it won't be happening in a long long time.

Kimetsu no Yaiba is taking so much of ufotable's time with series and movies. Not to mention the Genshin Anime in production.

I guess it's goodbye to Ufo-Fate. Atleast we got Heaven's Feel trilogy.

  8. 17:52 you gotta read HF route, bcoz many scenes during this kirei checking on sakura's condition, well in this adaptation scenes were cut and new scenes got added. Here, when sakura gets handed to kirei to check her condition, kirei tells both rin and shirou to wait outside until the operation is completed, but before shirou was about to leave, kirei talks with him about his ideals and future decision. He tells him if sakura gets used by zouken to cause more deaths, what will he do during that situation. Kirei asked him will he either choose to follow the same path as his dad, get rid of the cause of the problem (kill sakura) for justice and peace of society or still try to save her as she's his dearest and like a family member. Either be the hero of justice for the society or saviour of his dearest. Like this scene is goddamn good, it questions his ideals and will he stick to it or not.

  9. A small detail to note: at 45:09 when Sakura asks Shirou if he sees her as dirty, Shirou replied with Sakura wa "Kirei" da which directly translates to "Beautiful", but it also means "Clean" in japanese.

  10. My current head cannon is that the Shadow that has blue light is one that Sakura made with shirou(you could call it memories, mana, or even child) and the rest is ones that she made with others (could be shinji, or other people that she eats)

  11. The movies don't really go into it to the same level as the VN does, but just know that having Archer's arm was AGONIZING for Shirou. Legit constant, unbearable pain that would have killed most people. The only reason it doesn't affect Shirou as badly is because he already damn near kills himself on a daily basis through forcefully turning his nerves into temporary Magic Circuits, but also because him and Archer are the same person, technically.

  12. Heaven's Feel Shirou is such an interesting character to watch. At this point in the light novel, you'd have most likely been through both the Fate route, and the UBW route. In both, I'm pretty sure Shirou stays on the same path, that being his whole "Hero of Justice" schtick. Hell, in UBW we get to see exactly how far his obsession with that inherited dream is. We see how strict the metaphorical rails are on his character.

Then, you have the Heaven's Feel route that pretty much comes barging in saying "FUCK YO RAILS, N*GGA"!
His dream is still there, his obsession with it is still there, and he does still ultimately have the same desires as all the other Shirous we see… But this time it's become hyper focused on just one person: Sakura.

It's so damn interesting to see a character who's obsession drove him to an ultimately unhealthy dream become a character where basically everything is the same, except the unhealthiness has gone over to damn near the exact opposite extreme. He's gone from wanting to save everyone, and make it so that no one ever has to cry… to the same thing, except now the subjects are almost exclusively Sakura. In a way, that is healthier, and in another she is slowly merging with the embodiment of evil and her very existence is a threat to the human race… So yeah, unhealthy.

When I put it in those ways, it sounds stupid, and I've seen people say in the past that it is, because it's too big a change in his character. Me personally, I genuinely believe it's the only type of change they could make that I would like and also the only one that makes sense. You can't get rid of Shirou's dream because of how strong his obsession is. So, you have to alter(haha) the scale and the target of the dream in order to cause a shift in the character. Nothing else works, or at least nothing else would work without pumping even more story into what was already a gargantuan storyline.

That's all just my opinion though, of course.

  13. ok as cool as saber alter vs berserker was
    it made no sense
the official stats directly contredict it and only 1 scene from that fight even happens in the visual novel
and that scene was not nearly as cool as the visual novel describes it

so while i appreciate the cool fight
i dont appreciate the complete ignoring of the source material
