Well done on this vid
i always watch your vids. Just my take on this. I think your vids that go into a couple of hours intend to get you frustrated. Cockiness begins to set in. Fair winds tho my sailing friend. I don't have the set of gonads to do what you do ,but enjoy following. I do dig on the way you figure things quick on the go. Later mane…
Bummer to see you gone.
Great stream good luck🤟
Any help you need with French language, laws, history, please reach out. i will help.
Hey Man, if you can endure a few weeks of upwind don't skip the Marquesas! A hard passage indeed, but we'll worth it. It was the highlight of my pacific crossing back in 2014 (where I started by going from Maui to Nuka Hiva in my 26ft boat).
How long does a passage like that take?
Safe travels. No broken boat this time 😞
Mountain View Bakery stone cookies – the best! Basically biscotti in cookie form. Great for dunking in a mug of hot Kona coffee.
Not just haoles but no one is allowed on Ni'ihau without permission of the Robinson family (owners) unless already a full time resident.
enjoy the channel man! I'm plugging along on my refit of my 1968 pearson renegade with future plans to go cruising. C L A S S I C P L A S T I C!
James can you use a chart or your gps to see your progress and sailings plans? Would appreciate. Love your channel you are so self reliance.
James you are probably well and truly on your way to French Polynesia by now. Mate I wish you the very very best on your trip. Keep safe mate and I will look forward to seeing your vlogs. I think you are a very smart man and bloody brave to do what you are doing. What a life. I honestly wish I could have done this when I was younger. Sadly not to be. Take care bud and Gods speed. Cheers. Ken Australia
It really pisses me off that you had to explain why u do this, as if some bible bashing skywizard-ist wouldnt get mad if we asked why they talk to themselves (pray) all the time. No explanation needed Captain, the viewers understand. Its why we watch! Good luck on all of your ventures sir.

MIT water maker sounds exciting!
I’m a little older (51) third wife split not long after———— I’d love to sit around a wood stove and tell sea stories in Chile….. in twenty or thirty years.
Loneliness is the same , land or sea.
Can you recommend an insurance company for boats over 40 years old? Having issues.
Takk!
You always share a plethora of great information!
I just subscribed.to.your channel …I love you're vedios you are my favorite sailer… I loved your sail to hawaii
Hawaii suks now – the govs ruined it. They make it real hard for and tuff on liveaboards. And expensive to boot for temporary liveaboard slips 820$ evry 2 weeks for a temporary slip or mooring for my 30 foot boat , and going up.. And anchoring out is usually rough . Its just a big hassle – I have been here 3 years and I have had enough of this place..
And Im leaving in 2 weeks to beat the winter if I can – My good lord willing Ill make it..
And Im just sick of the rough waters – Very few days have good wind and calm water. Im lookin fwd to calmer seas.
Headed to LA then ensenada and Im gonna live in mexico a while. This will be my 1st crossing ever, but the open ocean is no different than coastal to me. Its all the same stuff in a better sea state. I have a sea anchor and a good storm jib. And I dont intend on fighting with any bad weather. Ill just heave to and ride it out if it gets bad. But hopefully it wont – Im hopefully leaving in 2 weeks , good lord willing and the weather holds. All my open water safety stuff and and a new heavy wind/small jib is spankin new and on its way brand . With a little blessing Ill be across mid october.😊
Im lookin fwd to hearing about your return trip.
Yall take care brutha, and may fair winds and following seas follow you all the days of your life – and may god bless and keep you safe.
