Kelly is definitely an underrated superstar! In the states anyway, cause she’s huge overseas! It’s the unfortunate effects of colorism & the lack of consistency! Releasing Stole after Dilemma was a complete misstep that the rest of her debut era wasn’t able to recover from. All her albums after that have been phenomenal, & she was definitely on the dance/disco house sounds before it was trendy again, yet everyone gives Beyoncé credit for innovation in that regard. I highly suggest unpacking more of Kelly’s discography!
