Ever since Taraji P. Henson spoke out about her experience with pay disparity in Hollywood, she continued to call people out, putting Oprah Winfrey on blast when she revealed that while working on Oprah’s movie ‘The Color Purple’, the actors were asked to drive themselves to work in rental cars, which she was very opposed to and had to get that corrected. Other castmates, like Danielle Brooks, spoke out about the poor working conditions while on set.
Fantasia has remained silent on this whole issue, apparently out of fear of being blackballed.
Taraji recently revealed that she almost walked away from The Color Purple movie produced by Oprah because they didn’t want to pay her her resume’s worth….
Oprah denies having anything to do with the poor treatment that the actresses received while on the set of The Color Purple remake movie. Oprah claims it is not her responsibility….
