Fantasia Barrino, a former winner of “American Idol” who is starring in the movie “The Color Purple,” said she was discriminated against by an Airbnb owner in Mooresville, claiming her family was forced to leave the property they rented for her son’s 12th birthday party.
“My stomach is so uneasy this morning as I’m riding back to my home in the cold and rain,” she posted on X, the social media site formerly known as Twitter. “I don’t say much when people do me wrong, but I can’t stay quiet on how my family and I were just treated from a host with @Airbnb @airbnbhelp trying to kick my kids and I out at 12:00 midnight.”

Sure buisness owners decided they didn't want your money and had nothing to do with any actions of you or your guests.
WCNC,
Please report this correctly for our community. The party she threw is banned and is why communities fight so hard to impose short term rental restrictions. Airbnb bans parties and there were far more people on property than that house can handle. Even to her own admission, she had lots of extra people there earlier, party gear, a party gaming truck, and the kids were screaming outside. People did not report her due to her race but reported her due to her blatant disrespect for others. Its a shame that a woman with the world at her fingertips has the nerve to be so disrespectful and rude and then say that the results of her poor choices are race related. Looks like she booked that house because she didnt wan't to deal with the issues at her own house that she put our community through. May this serve as a reminder that you are not above the law and the rules no matter what your social status is.
