Fantasia in D minor P.124 | Johann Pachelbel (1653-1706) | by Rien

A Pachelbel Fantasia with a fugal character, played with a powerful plenum registration. I hope you like this one! The title in the video is wrong. It’s written in D minor. Here you can find the score: https://imslp.org/wiki/Fantasia_in_D_minor,_P.124_(Pachelbel,_Johann)

Played with the organ from the Martinikerk in Groningen, the Netherlands (Hauptwerk)
I want to acquire the Sample Set from the English Harrison and Harrison organ from St Mary Redcliffe. You can help me with that. Any donation, great or small, is very much appreciated. https://buymeacoffee.com/rienschalkwijk/wishlist

  1. Very nicely played — a great start to the next 365 ! It almost has the underpinnings of "Vater unser im Himmelreich." I always enjoy the Martinikerk — it's a well-done sampleset .

Sending best wishes and prayers to you and your family for a blessed new year!

  2. Hi Rien! I love this Fantasia that I've played many times. But while searching for it in my (digital) collection I wasn't able to find it, because…. it is catalogued as "in D minor" (P.124). Which is the correct denomination?
