Fantasia 2000(1999) – Millions Of Humpbacks Take To The Sky And Fly

`Fantasia/2000′ continues and builds upon Walt Disney’s original idea with the creation of a new musical program interpreted by a group of distinguished Disney artists and storytellers. Adding to the fun and entertainment, celebrity hosts from the various arts appear on screen to introduce each of the segments. Included in that prestigious group are Steve Martin, Itzhak Perlman, Bette Midler, Quincy Jones, James Earl Jones, Penn & Teller and Angela Lansbury.(Google)

  1. This part of Pines of Rome and the ending of Firebird are my favorite sequences in the entire film. And this may be blasphemous to say but these two sequences to me are better than anything in the first Fantasia.

  2. I recently went back to college 2 months ago after 8 years to figure out how to move forward in my life and currently taking biology. Listening to this piece as well as other classical compositions make me feel less overwhelmed/anxious when I study and my scores/grades have been really good. it also leaves me with a sense of emotion that I didnt think id come this far because science was my worst subject in high school and never did good on it

  3. Itzhak Perlman: When you hear a title like "Pines of Rome," you may think of 🌲treeline streets🌲 and 🌹romantic ruins.🌹But when the Disney animators heard this music, they thought of something completely different.
Me: They thought of it as a story about 🐋flying humpback whales.🐋
