The lawyer instead of suing the town, county or DOT goes to sue Google in which they have no way knowing about a status of a collapse bridge. Sorry that you lost your husband lady but all I see here is I want $$$$$.
I’m so sorry to hear about the loss but Google isn’t at fault. A lawsuit isn’t necessary.
The driver is either brain impaired or is texting while driving
They mentioned she named a bunch of other parties in the lawsuit as you typically do. The jury will decide what percentage each party is responsible. If Google is only 1% responsible, they will only have to pay 1% of the damages.
micheal scott activities.
I wish they would do more legal analysis of these situations
Sue the city….?
WOW!!! I can't wait to hear the outcome of this, and it should be very interesting!!! I hate that he didn't see the bridge in front of him because Google can't track everything that's on the map!!! I feel bad for him losing his life this way!!!
So he couldn’t see that the bridge was unstable? That’s on him not Google
A search in Google images shows that the municipality had a barricade on the far side of the collapsed bridge but not on the side that this gentleman drove off of, so yes the town had a disaster waiting to happen. On the other hand it looks seriously overgrown so this bridge must have been inoperable for at least a decade and that means both Google and the town had plenty of time to correct their areas of responsability. The family should sue both parties.
Not another frivolous lawsuit!!!!!
Are you going to tell me the man who was driving and had been driving for years was not bright enough to know he was on a bridge? Was he driving with his eyes closed?
This is just another bunch of people who are looking to get a fast payday over sonething caused by their own stupidity.
Google maps should not have to pay a penny.
Sounds more like the state or county may have some liability, in addition to her husband. I don't see Google Maps having any liability.
Google misdirected me to my grandson's wedding! I was 45 minutes late! Doubt if I will trust Google maps again!
Google maps isn’t a real time map.
She will lose her case.
The driver is responsible for driving responsibly. The Google directions are there to direct you from point A to point B. Not to chauffeur you from point A to point B. I’m so sorry for this tragedy but a frivolous lawsuit won’t bring him back nor will it save anyones life. Shame on those who file frivolous lawsuits.
Now Michael scott should sue google maps for directing him towards the lake. Lol
Google does this deliberately to end peoples lives.
geez, never a responsibility from anyone, just someone else fault.
people just have to sue someone to make themselves feel better…how can google be at fault…? Google is not responsible for the roads…people are getting more stupid…like the woman that drove into the harbor in hawaii…really dumb ass…you cannot see whats right in front of you…?
They know the Google payout is more then the city payout for the lawsuit typical greedy white people.
Ha! Ha! Ha!.study giografy.
You cannot sue for being st**id. 😂😂😂
Whoops
Lol
She's only soon google because she knows they got money
The person responsible is the driver that decided to go over a bridge that wasn't there
NOPE
Why wasn't the road barricaded??? Sounds like whatever government entity that is responsible for the roads would bear the primary responsibility.
“dark and rainy” that bridge looked like it was built on a mud pile. “no barricades on the bridge” that’s a lie because you can literally see them in the pictures. it’s not googles fault this woman is just making her and her kids grieving process cause it’s gonna hurt like hell when they pay $$$ in lawyer fees just to lose the case. it was a horrible accident and nobody is at fault here.
Another sue happy person…. STOP being sue happy.. STOP thinking it''s someone other person or company's fault. He obiously had headlights on the vehicle to see whaat's ahead of him. How is it Google Maps fault??? IT'S NOT! People need to stop thinking they can sue for anything. i guarantee you will lose. Then you will be responsible for paying the other sides attorney's fees and costs and your own attorney too. BEWARE. The wife says she wants answers. The ANSWER is, unfortunately your husband must have not been paying attention of wht's ahead of him and the result is it's NOT Google Maps fault. Sorry…….
what's worse, the fact he died, or the fact the familiy is looking to profit from it
Who was supposed to report the bridge to google? Bc how is google supposed to keep up with things like this!?
He wasn't able to use his eyes while driving?.
Ya last night google maps took me 5 miles past my destination driving further out into farmland…they better fix the issue
How was this Google maps fault was he driving with his eyes closed?
look if crashed into a collapsed bridge 1, he wasnt driving to conditions he didnt know, 2, apparently vandal had removed no access siogns (so local council at fault), google maps has billions of links to be kept updated , so this guy died in a shallow ditch it wasnt a river etc so he is a darwin award not a court award dont forget his wife made the same trip without fing up! so this guy wasnt the shinest apple!
Google has a disclaimer word States the map is reference based only good luck if you win I'm following suit LOL
How sure are you its not suicide?
Focusing on the road while driving every father
😅😅😅people use to drive without google maps and actually used their eyes to see
No way i would rely solely on Google. Google once instructed me to pull a U-turn on the hwy. The Thomas guide book never once tried to kill me.
No one in the comments actually watched the video 🤦🏻♀️ They addressed why she can sue Google, and yes others are named in the lawsuit. Google is actually at fault here at least partly.
Lol
What about this reckless community leaving it unmarked and unrepaired for a decade?!?!?
I remember when travelling to kerala at night google maps had shown me a route through a paddy field which doesn’t even have a walkable pathway. If I was fast enough my car would be into a flooded paddy field n stuck there.
So, now Google is responsible for Darwin Award winners?
