  1. I was getting my pitchfork ready about the repair comment before Jon explained himself. On his point, yes I agree.

HOWEVER, being able to craft repairs kits is INFINITELY better than having to rely on vendors. And unmodded FO3 didn't have repair kits.

  2. To answer your question of why the Fiends seem to be whooping the NCR, it's because higher tiers of characters spawn at different levels when it comes to factions but the Fiends are pretty static in terms of power. Basically you came to the area earlier than usual so thr NCR is weaker thsn they might usually be.

  3. I love how Jon's character was like "Oh no, me dad's left the vault, I have to go after him. Along the way I will seduce a creep, help out people I find, make peace and impartially mediate between people, murder those people when I'm considered a goody two-shoes, go on holiday for three years and… What was I doing again?"

  4. You can actually enable Fo3-style repair in the mod settings.

Under nvse/plugins/jip_nvse.ini, set 'bEnableFO3Repair' to 1. If the option doesn't exist for some reason, you can add it yourself and it's fine.

I don't know if you're using Mod Organizer or what, but it could also be under the JIP LN NVSE plugin's mod folder.

My comment seems to have not been sent or something. I was trying to edit it to add the Mod Organizer line, but YouTube just gave me an error. If it's being held for review or something for some reason, it can just be deleted and have this one in its place.

  5. With all this buildup and talk of how much money he'd make, I half expected Jon to head back to the Capitol Wasteland and all of the Pre-War Books he got from the Mojave would turn into Burned Books

  6. I'm willing to bet that the NCR lost to the fiends because of level scaling. They're encountered naturally so much earlier in a playthrough than the Fiends. An NCR trooper encountered at level 2 might have a 9mm pistol, while a fiend will potentially spawn with a plasma rifle instead of a level appropriate laser pistol
