  1. OK, I re-joined the Patreon. Between Oblivion and this and the adorable new doggo, I want to support all of you for the entertainment you're providing me. Thank you, Jon and Claire. Much love.

  2. I learn if you have dogmeat on you in Fallout 3 where's random counted of the crash alien spaceship just tell dog me to find ammo all weapons and you'll find it for you even if the weapon is stuck

  3. I did have Dogmeat die on me. It was in the bicycle factory. He went tearing off on his own and picked a fight with two, or perhaps three, ghoul reavers. I went chasing after him, following the swath of destruction he had cut through the basic ghouls. By the time I found him, I think there was one reaver remaining.

  4. 7:15 He obviously wasn't in charge of FO4. You can't spit without hitting something.

I once installed a mod that increased the attack range (awareness or something) of enemies. This had the side effect of enemies attacking nearby camps because… everyone was too damn close to each other.

Sadly modding often reveals the weaknesses of Bethesda's game engine. I uninstalled the mod.

  6. Jon, if you can travel back and forth between Vegas and the Capitol I am very curious to what happens if you trigger Malcolm Holmes or the NCR with the radio to track you down while in the Capital wasteland.

  7. Your summary regarding the use of space is exactly why I'll defend my preference of Fallout 3 over all the other until the day I die. It is masterful, beautiful, haunting and the greatest example of post apocalyptia in any media ever assembled.

Its near 15 years, and I still don't believe I've ever enjoyed a game as much and a huge reason why is because of the use of open space, exploration, distant mysteries and the greatest gaming world of all time, the Capital Wasteland.

  8. Though it's funny. With all the Fallout 3 I've played? I don't think I've ever seen or spawned the Alien Event there like Jon stumbled into. Bad luck I suppose. But also one of those things that amuses me with the game. In that the random events are so random you can play for hundreds of hours and still be encountering new events (or combinations of events) that you've never seen before.
