  2. Ghouls are people who were exposed to lethal doses of radiation but didn't die from it. Almost all the ghouls in fallout became ghouls more than 200 years ago, when the bombs fell.

    The majority of the ghouls are feral, they attack anyone and anything that moves, they can't talk, think, feel, they're like zombies.
    But some of the ghouls are like normal people, they just look different, age very, very slowly and are hard to kill.

  4. He's a ghoul, but not a feral ghoul. Only feral ghouls can't abide chickens. As long as ghouls "take their medicine" they won't turn feral, and live for a long time.

  6. Yaaaaaay! So happy were doing this. Yeah you got the time period thing kind of right. Its basically what the 50s thought the future would look like. But the beginning takes place in 2077 then obviously we get that 200 year time jump so were in like 2280 or so for the rest of the show.

I feel called out by Rob's description of his experience with Fallout 4, because that's been my experience with way too many video games… It's not that I start them and then don't want to play them, it's that I feel like I need to devote a decent amount of time to them, and I never end up finding the time!

  17. Big Fallout nerd here; excited to see you two jump in on this series.

    To be fair this game doesn't hold back… You can blow up a child as a means of assassinating his father in Fallout 2. In Fallout 3 there is a quest where you can free slaves…or help the slavers out by going and bringing them new slaves. So yeah this game series has always been dark to say the least.

  33. Guys, I just want to point out that Lucy’s Dad drowned Monty in a barrel of PICKLES! Imagine those injuries to your face and being submerged in BRINE! Youch!!!!! Such a great show, can’t wait to watch more of it with you guys!

  36. I think a series that you guys would love that has a dedicated fan base with alot of people that like to watch reactions of would be attack on titan, the shows got s little bit of everything you would want when it comes to action, mystery, great plot, and character development

  37. If Trin only played Fallout 1 and 2 (I'm playing those right now for the first time), I highly recommend checking out New Vegas. It's considered as the best one in the series (at least when it comes to the story and the general vibe). And I was surprised how many references it had to the first two games.

  41. In many of the games, there's a perk called "Bloody Mess" that increases the gore level of the game (plus a +5% increase to damage overall). So this show basically picked the "Bloody Mess" perk.

  42. 19:23 Power armor kind of sucks in Fallout 4 because just walking around in one drains the fusion core. In Fallout 3 and New Vegas, there is no need to replace the fusion core. You only need to repair it when it takes damage, so it doesn't drain when walking around, it only drains its durability faster when you take damage.
