  1. I wouldn't recommend the Penetrator perk Jon, whilst it does allow you to target enemy body parts that are hidden, it also reduces the damage done to those hidden body parts, so, unless you plan to crit the head of enemies in cover, it's only really useful when using the gauss rifle, as that does so much damage that it negates the damage reduction of the perk. There also appears to be some damage reduction applied to body parts that are not hidden, so much so, that I used console commands to remove the perk after I tried it out. I have seen trick shots being performed on multiple enemies all lined up in a pretty little line, but I have never actually been able to achieve the same result, even with the gauss rifle. More perception will lead to bigger percentage chances to hit though, and with enough points into the sniper perk you will get an additional 25% to head shot accuracy.

  2. Okay Jon, here's where your confusion is with the Mirelurk babies … The first set that attacked you we're from the eggs you were next to, you just crossed over their activation path …

As far as the rest of them that kept attacking you once you were moving to the castle… Well, apparently the Queen is a medical mystery. Because, not only does she apparently lay eggs, but when attacked, she can live birth babies that hone and directly to your location and start attacking immediately.

I think after a few years of this game, you have seen this before, but like the rest of us you have gotten so used to preparing the area and using nuke launchers to kill the queen quickly that you have not given them a chance to do that in years. Therefore, you forgot.

Hope that helps, have a wonderful new year.
