Finally get around to these tar extractors and they have a surprise entry in the new and improved pY-index.

Thanks for watching and joining me on this long journey!

Mods are listed in the first part of the 1st episode but I will compile a list soon.

  1. Hmm. I noticed when you hovered over one bitumen seep, it said "amount: 1111". Didn't see the amount for the one you put the tar extractor on at the start of the video, but was it 1445, by any chance? If so, then the amount listed on each bitumen seep is the number of driling fluid cycles (at 10 drilling fluid units per cycle) needed to get to the resources. In other words, that seep with "amount: 1111" will need 11,110 units of drilling fluid pumped into it before it starts producing oil/tar/natural gas. Would love to know if I'm right about that: one way you could test it would be to outpost drilling fluid production somewhere, then deliver 25k fluid pumped directly from a tank into the extractor. Then see what's left of the 25k once it starts producing.

  2. Every time I see that "HELP" on the map screen, it gives me a good chuckle. And I think that once you manage to build up to the point where you're launching rockets, it would be hilarious in a touching sort of way to place the rocket launchpad right next to your crashed ship from the beginning of the game. Coming full circle back to where you started, that would be.

And then once you launch the rocket, you can start playing Elder Scrolls 6, which will have already have come out by the time you finish a Pyanodon playthrough. 🙂
