  1. Thanks so much for including Veil of Dust, Josh, and congrats on your face reveal!
We've had the feedback about the lack of color a few times, and so we've added a little more color to the textures and plants since this footage was taken (While trying to preserve the desert sparseness that you mentioned!) Hope you get a chance to play more soon and check out the story and characters – That's what our fans like most about the game 🙂

  2. Problem with kynseed is that it is basically a beta still. Playing multiple years destroys your game due to npc's not being born, but dying. The shops is very much bugged where pay to workers doesn't matter and worker mood cannot go up. Its a great game, but its missing key components and needs a bunch of fixes. I'd say its currently B or C personally, were it will become A with the fixes.

Re:Legend is less of a buggy mess than it once was, it sadly doesn't capture you very much, it had great potential. Sadly thats what it has. Maybe eventually if they keep at it.

Dinkum I agree with wholly. Though I haven't really played it much, it is enjoyable to a fault, problem is mainly that its even better coop, and getting to play with people at the same time with my work schedule is hard.

Rune Factory 4 is an S, that's why I considered Rune Factory 5 an A, its a great game, but it doesn't even come close to 4 sadly.

Harvestella I'd consider a B, its a hyped adventure game called an rpg farming sim, which feels REALLY watered out. Its got great graphics, nice story, but thats it, the gameplay is its flaw to me.

My time at Portia turned really boring to me, with that in mind, would Sandrock still be an ok experience, or should I stay away?

Coral Island feeling like an EA and missing features, for sure. It has great potential and they work a lot on it though, so hoping it will turn an S eventually.

Immortal Life is the other title I'd consider S this year, really, I'd consider it S+, its the farming sim im looking most forward to be finished for sure. Had a really hard time putting it away.

Thanks for the video, taking away from it, might be I have to give My time at Sandrock a second look and put Ova Magica on a possible 😀

  4. congratulations on coming out of your comfort zone man, honestly your lack of time for playing doesn't make a game bad and I'm talking about Disney game but seriously if you wanna play a farm game play FS22🤣

  5. Great video! Only thing I would add is information (small extra icon next to game logo) about early access/not finished product. I know you talk about all games in deetails but i like to "see" things 😀

  7. Great video! 😊

At first I was taken aback by you placing Ooblets in the B Tier because I really enjoy the game. Then I thought about how I haven’t started it up in nearly two months 😅 great point with the missed opportunity with the music combat. The game is really cute and quirky but it also feels like doing a lot of the same stuff over and over.

I played the free demo for Harvestella and liked it but was hesitant to pay full price for it since it is very expensive… Haven’t heard of immortal life and going to check it out, hope it comes out on Switch!

  8. First time trying cozy/farm games,
Please help me choose..since i can only buy one.

What do you recommend between the 3

    Doreamon,harvestella or rune factory.

Also i don't play animal crossing yet because from what I've gathered it didn't have "quest". I wand some sort of goal at least so i can follow it and have a sense of progress. In AC i don't think i can create some sort of goal on my own.

  9. I've yet to finish Rune Factory 5 and I got it this Summer. My biggest issue with it is the pacing. I think it's because I am too use to the fast pacing of Stardew Valley. And RF5 feels way too grindy as a result and I don't know, if feels like it's taking way too long for me to accomplish anything. I was originally going to create different save files for the bachelors I wanted to romance but with how slow the pacing is, I might just settle for 1 of the guys. I will finish the game (at least the main story), but I don't know if I'll get another RF game after this if the pacing is this slow. I pray that Story of Seasons: It's a Wonderful Life doesn't feel this slow.

I plan on getting Coral Island pretty soon since I finally got money from Christmas (and my bday is in a couple more days so I'll get a little more money probably lol). I definitely want to get the game while it is in early access because I don't know what the price will be when the full game comes out and I'd rather get now while it's cheap. Hopefully those Steam sales are still up lol. I will say one of the biggest draws (besides the gameplay and romance) is that I can control the pacing, which I am SOO relieved to hear.

I recently heard about My Time and Bedrock and will probably end up getting that game too. I just want to pace myself money wise since I want to save up for other games that come out next year (like SoS: It's a Wonderful Life). But since I plan getting the game on Steam, I still might get it when I get Coral Island since I am buying me a big gift card (this is why I wait for Christmas) so these games will be my Christmas/Bday gift for myself this year.

I am going to wait and see if Dreamlight Valley will actually become free. My biggest worry is when the full game comes out, a bunch of things will be locked behind a paywall, because making you pay the game NOW and then making it free has me pretty suspicious honestly and I really have no faith in Disney atm, but the game looks really fun, so we'll see.

  10. For the last few days I’ve been playing Coral Island and really enjoying it so far. It’s still in ea so there’s not a ton of things to do yet but so far the trip is worth it and am looking forward to it’s progress by 2024!

  11. Great video and it was great to see you! Your reviews are very helpful, especially for games that I have considered but haven't tried. I am playing Wylde Flowers presently and I do like it. While I agree that some of the actions are not as realistic (point and click), I do find the storyline and voice acting engaging and the quests interesting enough to want to continue. I'm in total agreement with you on Dinkum. That game is the best on your list!

  12. I feel the same with hokko life like I wanted so bad to love it but I couldn’t get into it I felt like it had so much potential but mabey with updates it can be more I’m looking forward to ova magica once it’s on switch but my top for this year have to be rune factory 5 and I really loved dreamlight valley but it would have been more enjoyable if they didn’t have as many bugs

  14. Thank you so much for making this video!! You're one of my favorite content creators for this genre of games and am so happy you feel comfortable to do a face reveal. This video couldn't have come at a better time as well since a lot of games are on sale for EOY and I've been trying to decide which ones are worth getting!!! Will definitely be getting Harvestella after this– thank you so so much for making content, wish you all the best and more for 2023!

  15. It's so cool having a face to match to a voice 🥺 There's a few games on this list that I've been undecided about and now I'm definitely gonna grab them!! As always I love your content and your love for farming games 💚

  16. For me, Dreamlight Valley is actually C, solely because I have to play it on Switch, and it still crashes regularly. It's such a shame cause it is an actually chill and addictive game to play, but you spend the whole time wondering if it's been too long between saves so you don't lose a bunch of progress when it crashes again.

  17. JOSHHHHH I was so surprised to see a face reveal! I love your videos and content so this is a fun way to celebrate the end of the year – love tier lists haha

It feels awkward at first in front of a camera but you’ll grow into it as you keep doing it! Great work and can’t wait to see where your channel goes!!

  18. I didn’t realize how long I’d been watching until you said 3 years and I realized SOS POOT has been out for almost 2. 😮
Congrats on all of your successes in 2022, and here’s to even more in the future!

  19. The wonderful thing about Disney's Dreamlight Valley is that even though it's very grindy, it DOESNT. GATE. RESOURCES.
Unlike Animal Crossing where you can only do a little a day and can run out of natural resources, Dreamlight Valley will repawn rocks/minerals/fruit/etc after a pretty dang short period of time. Like maybe a few minutes? You can really keep playing and making money and doing quests as long as you want, which was soooo refreshing to me.

  20. Thanks for this great summary of farming games you enjoyed in 2022. I have played a lot of them too and I agree that there have been some really good farming sim games this year. There's a couple games I haven't checked out that are on this list so I'll probably do that soon.
