  1. A somber ending to their story, a new chapter untold (unless ya really wanna), now they can go on to mimic feelings and experiences of the lives they once led with little fear of mortal binds, well done scratch

  2. Aww bro I felt so terrible about her getting infected because it neither her nor the listener were human what would be the point in doing anything but sitting around and waiting to waste away. But then she started talking about every run being a personal run and swimming in the pool. Seriously, this whole series was fantastic from start to finish!

  3. Damn, I thought she'd be more devastated after realising she's been infected. But instead she started looking for bright sides, however little they may be 🄲
I'm still really sorry tough šŸ˜¢šŸ§”šŸ«‚

Also why exactly we couldn't write earlier? šŸ¤”

  4. Nooooooooo! Not my nice little human!
Zombie hug? Sure, I… thank you…
Very fitting end to the whole series.
It was great! It was great! But why Am I so sad?

The whole time while patching wounds/washing blood of part 4 I was like, oh no, oh no, oh no…

Random topic, can Zombies get drunk? (As I am holding my empty beer can)

  5. Is it just me or does anyone else feel bad about infecting her. I know it's an RP, but the fact the charter did so much not to infected then you show up and acidently infects her just doesn't sit right with me. Loved the audio and series, keep up with what your doing because it is fantastic!

  6. A calm, near bittersweet ending. I binged all of this to help me wake up, and I can safely say this reinvigorated my desire to look at my own apocalypse setting.

And if you (and all other commenters on this beautiful works of audio) will allow me a minute of indulgence, I want to describe what I see in these audios. I’ll go over the rooms, Walker, and how the survivor might change after infection takes hold.

For the motel, the main background of the series, Walker is exposed to only a few rooms, making my imagination have an easier time. While we don’t see the disinfecting room, I think it would be a regular room (maybe even the receptionist room or lobby) with various heavy duty cleaners tucked neatly and in order of use somewhere like the main desk or under chairs where the living would once sit. Any designs on the walls or furniture would be losing color due to the strong chemicals being sprayed or wiped near them so often, assuming the survivor makes trips one to two times a day.

Her room interests me the most, as it’s going to be a mix between practical and personal. Seeing as this is a motel, I imagine it’s a simple one bedroom one bathroom style apartment that has a little patio that smokers could use back before the world ended. Nowadays, things are different. Seeing as TV is useless, I can see our survivor scooting the tv in front of the locked entrance to the patio. If the door unlocking or being broken doesn’t wake her up, then the tv falling over probably would. The bedside table has a journal and weapon on it, perhaps a knife since those are easily accessible. And just perhaps, she keeps a single trinket in her room. Her favorite, or maybe just something to liven up the room a minuscule amount. And of course, there’s the couch Walker ā€˜sleeps’ on in part 3.

Speaking of, how do I see Walker? Well, despite the survivor saying we could theoretically pass off as a human, I actually didn’t envision us that way until she said it. For some reason, I got it in my head that we were missing an eye, like it had been blown out somehow and we were left with a messy open wound on the side of our face. For clothes, I saw us wearing something similar to The Hunter from left 4 dead. A hood (which we kept down after meeting the survivor) and slightly baggy pants that are caked in grime and mud from walking around for the devil knows how long. Our skin is grayer than normal but still somewhat normal, but our eyes are completely human, too human. Instead of losing color or getting muddy, our eyes lost all imperfections and became fully expressive and fully emotive. Lastly there’s the nasty wound another survivor gave us in part 4, a large gash across our stomach, which tore through the long sleeve shirt we were given out of kindness. Our blood, thicker and darker, coats our stomach and clings like a sentient creature. Once we’re patched up, a whole shirt has been stuffed inside the gash, like a mouth on our tummy is eating fabric. Demon’s of earth, I can imagine the shock, panic, and sadness in our eyes when we realized the survivor is likely infected as a result of our idiocy.

Now, we already have a picture of the survivor, illustrating in the beautiful artwork. My question now is; what does she look like after turning? Clearly I think we have changed after being infected, so she should too.

Unlike us, I think her eyes would go gray. Our eyes are our way of expressing, but hers aren’t. Her voice, vocal cords, are her main method of expression. As such, I think her eyes would go gray, and her skin as well. The fear in her eye would be replaced with curiosity. How cruel would it be if infected were curious by nature? Lastly, I wonder if her hair would change color, or start getting thinner. I don’t know why, it’s just what my gut tells me.

While this series is likely concluded, I feel I would be doing both Walker and the survivor (who I’m going to lovingly call Nibble as a reference to Scratch with a bit of necrosis flair) a disservice if I didn’t try to throw a couple ideas out there for possible sequels focused around being intelligent undead in the ruins of a world ruled by mindless evil.

Stargazing (how often does Nibble get to stop and appreciate the stars? Not much I imagine)
A scavenger hunt, maybe a game between the two of who can find the cooler item.
Finally getting to use the pool!
Going somewhere that would’ve been too dangerous to venture in life, but perfect for unlife.
Observing a roaming horde, like watching a band of zebras. Perhaps it’s bittersweet that not of them became what we did.
    Experimenting on another undead.
    Experimenting on another survivor (collab?)
    Making music
Redecorating the disinfecting room/the motel as a whole.

The ideas are endless! I love this series.
