From what I remember as a kid, I thought the series was called "F-Zero" because the vehicles were all rocket propelled hovercrafts, where the "friction is zero".
3:30 In the original F-Zero game for the SNES, only 7 of the 15 tracks were avaliable at all in Practice Mode: The 5 Knight League tracks, White Land I for the Queen League, & Port Town II in the King League.
That's why Port Town II was immediately avaliable on release while Port Town I was not.
In the original F-Zero game, Golden Fox was the fastest, but also had the least amount of energy/power for endurance.
So, probably dumb question: I've noticed you 'wobbling' occasionally, does that actually do anything or is it just for the heck of it?
35:12 "That's fine."
French narrator voice: Twelve seconds later~
muh meta
muh heckin' meta
Mute City 2? It happened AGAIN??
Pure pain at 11:12
I wish we could petition Nintendo to remap the buttons on the SNES control to move map to the select button and X be spin.
Hey Poo, I know you probably won’t see this but did know first moon skip was possible on 1.3.0 in Super Mario Odyssey? It doesn’t do anything but it’s cool! You are the reason I got back into Super Mario Odyssey, and I just want to say, thank you!
would be a little funny if they demade phantom road into a mode7 f zero track
That "famous" footage which has "One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind" and shows an astronaut leaving the lunar module, was actually the voice recording of Neil Armstrong leaving the module, who stepped out first, playing over the footage he then recorded of Aldrin getting out of the module.
I didn't know it was called F-Zero because of that either lmao
I appreciate that while we are in this learning curve, my butt can be less clenched.
iPhones suck so much and no I did give it a fair shot. It's way too locked down, can't change out programs however you want. It's Apple's way or no way in so many instances. With Android it's at least Android's way or whatever 3rd party solution you want that aren't even on the Apple store because their API won't allow for the functionality.
YOU HAVE THE SAME LAUGH AS GEORGE R.R. MARTIN
LMAOOOOO
Finally Nintendo step up and add in more tracks. hope to see a lot more from the other games
While the announcement got a mixed reception the game itself is really fun, addictive and competitive.
I hope many people try it, so we can have a new F Zero in the future!
been loving these videos!
I really enjoyed F-Zero back in the day… but then I got Wipeout XL and the older game lost its lustre. Seeing F-Zero again after such a long time makes me want to finally try Fast RMX or maybe Redout.
21:50 the music is a straight rip from the original though lol. That part IS 16-bit.
Love wireless controllers 👍🏿
woah, i kept seeing this person called "poo" in my games and this was in my recommended. wonder if it was you? if so, have you seen me before? – andybandy
ggg
I hope this is successful enough that either they make a new f-zero game or just introduce more cars/tracks to 99.
About the moon landing thing:
There's a Whitest Kids U Know sketch about that exact thing where some kid asks how they got that camera shot of the first steps on the moon, and the question gets sent all the way up the chain of command to Obama, but they do at least get to the answer which is that the camera was mounted to a leg of the lunar lander.
So, for what it's worth, as funny as it is to think about Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin setting up a Casey Neistat vlog camera shot, the camera was already mounted to get that shot well before it left earth.
IIRC one of the reasons we went to the moon was to justify developing ICBMs and the orbital mechanics required for flying them without saying we wanted ICBMs. Also, didn't they just stick a camera on one of the legs pointed at the ladder before they left?
wait, did they nerf the White Land 2 jump? It was much bigger in F-Zero, and you would die unless you knew that pressing down allows you to do a big jump…
"jaku uses apple so I use apple" makes absolutely no more sense than "lebron james buys his salmon from whole foods so I buy my salmon from whole foods." tech does different things for different people, and the amount of people who build their identity around a brand sucks jmo.
