It makes sense to use the F-16s as interceptors since Ukraine have so few of them. They might use them as support aircraft for the migs since they are more familiar with the migs.

And 5 out of 12 more F16's are delivered in Roemania at the EFTC to train roemanian and Ukrainian Pilots.
