  1. Would it be possible to recycle the water used and use it again? The water has to drain somewhere. I know it's not a problem for your Redneck Genius, I was just thinking.

  2. Also, really been enjoying your series on this, I also grew up without GPS, I remember when Garmin and Magellan were first on scene and a big deal, but I digress, the content and your style are very well done, I have had moments of yelling and poking at the computer screen when you have forgotten something or missed something, moments of celebration when exploration has gone well and you found what you were seeking or it was something cool, and generally looking forward to a new video dropping. carry on the good work.

  3. I started playing this and been paying attention to the tips on the loading screen, the antennae are not for expanding the distance you see on the map, they are for remote controlling your base and vehicles, their coverage areas must overlap to have remote control from your location all the way to your base.

  4. Just a suggestion.
Put a battery and transformer bank by the wells that way you can manage the amount better, only send the amount needed in total for all the wells that you can then spilt meaning less energy being sent away from the base than needed. Also 3 Wells per pump 3 pumps feed 1 final pump means 9 wells with your 4 pumps might make a cleaner looking build.

  5. It would be a good idea by the developers to put a charging point into the survival capsule. I mean once you power the capsule it's meant to mean you survive so why no internal charge point?

  6. Yes I have started seeing a lot of cables and a lot of rocks. I wondered if it was because i had collected all the seeds so now the game was giving me other “presents”. Mind you, you don’t have all the seeds yet do you? Annoyingly, it’s always water/gas cables – never electrical cable which would probably be more useful. Even a mix would be nice. But no. I have about 10,000 feet of water cable now!

  7. That was great. Nice to see the base growing. – so you have the canteen, the lobby, the HQ, the garage and the large dome yet to build and attach. It will be some size when complete.

  8. Water sources aren't unlimited. Placing too many wells on one can result in it becoming drained temporarily(from what I read somewhere). If it's possible at all, you really should try to find another nearby water source and set up wells there, too.

    Storage…
What about the boxes for the ATV? Can they be placed in the workshop? and stacked?

Also, build the crusher. It's more efficient in processing ores. When you have a rock that the scanner says contains 900 of a certain ore, you usually only get around 100 – 150 if you jackhammer it down and collect manually. But if you break it down to blocks that the Rover's claw can collect, then dump it into the crusher, you get almost all the ores.
Yes, the claw is awkward, but you can bring in so much more ores.

Man, I wish my laptop was capable of running this game(imagine the lag when passing from one map area to another… That's how this game runs on my laptop )

  9. The greenhouse is not useless some plants, such as the apple tree, which have 4 stages of development, can't plant them directly in the dome, but need to be planted in the greenhouse first and then moved to the dome.

Be careful when adding large spaces like the big dome, the problem isn't the drastic decrease of oxygen in the base, it's the drastic drop in temperature.
If you see in your video, when you entered the medium dome the temperature was 4°C, the temperature in the base, which is generally 21°C (time 1:02:01), dropped to 4°C (time 1 :02:05) as soon as the iris opened.

The interesting part is that the temperature does not drop to 4° across the base instantaneously but mixes as it happens in reality, so you have the lowest temperatures in the new environments and the highest temperatures the farther you are from the new added environments (6°C at time 1:02:36 (greenhouse), 15°C at time 1:02:57 (workshop))

I've seen in other gameplays the player lose all plants to frost the instant the big dome was built, or if they had iris placed, the moment the iris opened and they entered the dome.
My suggestion is to remove all plants in the base before adding the big dome.

  10. Now that you have the big crusher, you can make everything faster because it automatically makes everything for that blueprint for you, as long as you have the raw resources. Make the big crusher and see if you can get the cargo trailer. Put the large dome off the back of the medium.

  11. For pumps you don't have to manually set up colors on the inputs. It auto switches based on what you connect. Outputs being one of each would also not need manual changes
