Do not forget to keep upgrading your companions' weapons, armor and gear. Electronics skill is needed to unlock locked items. Having that skill or one of your companions having it AND upgrading that skill will help in the future.
Finally a SPECTRE. Well, I expected a bit more to-do with it, but I guess there are more pressing matters, eh? I'm don't really get into sci-fi as much as the fantasy games, but this isn't too bad.
The First Human Spectre! Such a prestigious position! Wonder would you uphold the law or bend it however you like now that you aren't bound by it.
Also, You can bang Sha'ira, if you are a bit forceful 😉. Not you though, you are a goody two shoes, and the chance is now gone. The trinket she gave is pretty useful! for a bit of lore, but you can't just pass up the opportunity to be horny 😌.
I'll suggest to scan the Keepers when you are higher level as the rewards scale, so now you'd get 10 credits but on higher levels more than 10000. Also, You could cheat the system by changing the Level Scaling to Classical from Legendary to get even more money!
Interesting, and once again, touching on one of my favourite subjects. VI's are a program, if you've played 'the stanley parable' the 'chatbot' is just clever programming. There is no AI there, it's just a clever bit of programming… going to have to wait for quantum computing to advance a layer or two before seeing the advent of artificial intelligence. 😉
And the rabbit hole only gets deeper I suspect but yes you made Spectar! wooo! happy your enjoying it this was ahead of its time for sure don't see too many war space games these days ya know
There are actually two way of faster than light travel in Mass Effect: "Conventional" FTL and Mass Relays. Conventional FTL drives only allow travel between neighbouring stars, while Mass Relays allow galaxywide travel.
8:27 True, but that's the reason why the Council decided not to intervene after the Geth attack on Eden Prime – they simply don't want to trigger a war. However – the game devs made a mistake here in my opinion because Eden Prime is not located in the Attican Traverse and neither is it anyhere near the Terminus Systems (or the Geth territory behind the Perseus Vale). Granted, the Mass Relays make this a relatively moot point considering that two systems could be considered "neighbouring" each other if they have two primary relays linked to each other even if the systems are actually located on the opposite sides of the Galaxy while systems comparatively close to each other could be defined as not neighbouring if there's no connection via Mass Relay.
PS: Don't use the fast travel on the Citadel too much – you will miss NPC conversations and also side quests. Many side quests are aquired by overhearing conversations or meeting people on the Citadel and you will miss these side quests (and small NPC interactions) if you use the Fast Travel.
One thing I remember that isn't made obvious – whenever one of your companions says "Huh" or "Hmm" as you are walking through an area, they have some dialogue specific to that location that you can trigger by talking to them.
Ashley, the soldier: "These staircases would make a great chokepoint in a pitched defense." Kaidan, the dumdum: "I like that fountain. That is a niiiice fountain."
You accomplished a lot in this one. It was fun to watch. All the questions you were asking at the end. I can’t wait to see your reaction when you get answers.
A couple of answers to your questions: Yes, there is a sprint, in and out of battle, press X while moving
1:00:33 – That noise is your gun over heating. It is the games way of limiting your ammo or number of shots you can take before you have to wait for it to cool down so you can use it again
Also, press and hold R1 during battles to use your powers. They are very useful. It also pauses the action so you can asses the current situation and strategically plan your best course of action.
And last….Garrus is the man!! We all love that dude!
Loving your playthrough so far. Always do. The writing in this game is just so amazing. I know it'll probably be a bit before you see this but I'd suggest going into settings and allowing your teammates to use their powers without you having to tell them to 😊👍
14:52 to get those paragon and/or renegade choices (blue and red respectively), you need to select less neutral dialog options (the middle option on the dialog wheel). You are free to play however you want, but from experience, you'll probably want to never pick that middle option. 😉
Paragon/Heroic/Nice choices are on the top (unless it's an investigation conversation). Renegade/Dirty/Mean choices are on the bottom. FWIW, ME1's renegade choices aren't really evil. However, I cannot say the same thing for ME2 and ME3.
You're absolutely right. Considering just how far sweeping and powerful the Protheans were, anything that can wipe them out could be a threat like nothing the galaxy can imagine.
The elevators were originally used as loading screens and people got annoyed by that after they'd gotten through all the banter and news looping during the elevator times. So for the Legendary Edition they added an option so you could skip the elevator transitions since computers can handle the loading much faster nowadays.
Wow, you got terribly unlucky there. The warehouse workers at 57:15 are usually friendly and you can talk to them, but you got drawn into a shoot-out with them immediately.
Love that you take the time to read the codex. If you are interested in the ME universe there are 4 novels. 3 of them are worth reading (those written by Drew Karpyshan, a former writer for Bioware.) They cover Captain Anderson prior to the events in the games.
One thing to love about the Trilogy is how the perspective of the person telling you some piece of ME history can actually be WRONG. Like Harkin telling you Anderson was a SPECTER, the first human one. Of course he wasn't, he was being considered/evaluated for the position … maybe the first to be so. The same holds true for other recountings throughout ME, like about the Protheans. As you progress through the game so much gets revealed, corrected, refined, better specified, embellished … and in a way that seems natural and organic, that requires you to judge the source. I think this aspect of the Trilogy's World building is exceptional.
Little tip, by choosing the middle option youll never unlock the two extra paragon and Renegade choices( grayed out options to the left) wich is how you get the best outcomes, even if you put points into intimidate and charm, i recommend sticking to either being a good guy, or a ruthless badass, unless you wanna miss very important moments, cheers!
Late upload but still wanted to get it to you guys today!
Do not forget to keep upgrading your companions' weapons, armor and gear.

By not asking the Consort "that's it?' you missed out on some blue booty call…..

38:26 “I really like him”
Don’t we all? 🙂
The Shephard, Garrus, and Wrex squad is a legendary and fan favorite line up

Amazing story the game's graphics however are not aging well.
Your videos remind me of my first play though years ago. It's fun to see another person learning their way around this game. Thanks for sharing
Loving the speed of these Mass Effect uploads ngl. One of my favourite series and I'm really excited to watch a newcomer play them.

Were you drinking a Moscow Mule?
38:28 ❤️
Great video, thanks! By the way it's worth returning to Fist's office. (You don't get much time to look around with the dreaded timer running!)
Wrex is awsome 🙂

I must say, your playthrough made me reinstall ME 1 and do the whole trilogy myself all over. Guess nostalgia from watching you is real!

Surprised you let the conversation with Harkin go on so long. I usually skip him entirely and talk to Barla Von. Harkin really isn't worth the time.

Appreciate you and the work you do Dr. Ikpoko! You are a king for our people curing them from all STI & other deceases God bless you and your family!

It's like surviving a horrid natural disaster and when people find out it's the first thing people ask about.
