  1. I did a video on McCarthy a year ago. His offense broke a lot of records. But it wasnt what I hoped it would be. It was not built to win when it mattered. He had a top-10 offense and defense multiple times but still couldn't get it done. His biggest failure (along with Jerry Jones) was not developing a running back to help Dak Prescott and being limited in passing options. Having just 1/3 route routines per game(Hitch routes, go routes and quick outs) was absolutely ridiculous. His tenure was one of the strangest eras in Cowboys' history.

  2. ❤Your video. However, not being a 🏈 data dude, I am not very familiar with the different rankings, the titles etc. Perhaps you could do a video explaining it a little better for the rest of us?? Thanks again

  3. Mike’s unwillingness to run is a big reason why Jerry Jones brought him in. Jerry knows the pass sells more than the run. That is another reason why he brought in Chan Gailey, Garrett, and also why he’s so enamored with Moore. With Moore at OC, Dak had multiple games with 60+ passing attempts, 60….

  4. Jimmy's players were always very well ready to just do your job and aggressive and hustle. Either your players play with not wanting to hurt the players besides and behind them
Parsons was the guy yelling this on the sidelines this isn't a coaching problem we lacked talent and always came up short against the elite teams and like I said this is a talent problem we have some very good players just not enough our first round picks except Parsons have not produced and because of it we're average this year below

  5. Great video once again, LC! In my much less analytical analysis of Dallas, I've come to realize Cowboy teams aren't as good as Jerry and the media say they are. Good teams are considered great and since we haven't had a great team in thirty years, most fans have never seen a great team. Jerry is the head coach, all others are assistants, so you'll never have a good or strong one. The Cowboys have a discipline issue, consistent pre-snap penalties late in the season and sloppy play are the normal. The team is reflective of Jones's personality. A good coach could get more from their players but Dallas will never have that with Dallas….

  6. Bottom line our team has fired coaches and other staff. Changed coaches and philosophies. Traded players. Let go players. Got a new stadium. But there’s been no change as far as owner and GM. Think about that. It’s been 30 years since our team has been in the NFC championship game or in a Superbowl. Sad.

  7. LC, I really think you should do one on the penalties the cowboys can’t seem to break
Free from in the past 30 years. I did a quick search and found Dallas in the top 5, sometimes #1 in penalties. It seems to be ingrained in Cowboys culture and has transcended every head coach. I don’t get why this is never addressed.

  8. Good insights. Yeah I complained about some of these things over the past couple of years, like not enough slant passes and not committing to the run. I'm also disappointed they didn't use the talented Hunter Luepke more. I wonder if a dynamic FB of the kind this era's defenses aren't used to facing gashing them running and receiving would have forced defensive changes that opened things up deep.

  9. He implemented a West coast offense that requires big bodied receivers who can get YAC and a qb who can make quick decisions and lead receivers with throws. Of which we have neither.

  10. Someone may have Already mentioned it, but a big part of the game. It's breaking the other team mentally as well as physically. And when you're offensive, line is constantly playing pass. They're always moving backwards and the defense is always moving forward. So
To not run the ball is absolutely crazy.Because that's how you beat up on the defense and it gives your team a lot of mental physical and emotional wins and controls the clock and establishes dominance…. I have all but quit watching football.Because I cannot stand this mostly passing league… I mean.
For these guys to be professional coaches supposedly at the top of their game and to abandon the run or not, realize it's importance. It's significance is just completely crazy to me. And like I said, I've all but stopped watching it completely unless I just happened to. It's frustrating one of my buddy's house. Because it's frustrating watching a teen. You love that has had a history of dominant running attacks x totally abandoned. I mean, the eye formation is non-existent. And I missed the days of seeing. A full back clear the way for a running back And just to see you completely deflate the other team. Because you're continuously. You're getting those first Downs and chewing all that time off the clock. It just blows my mind that these guys have overlooked that completely. It seems anymore.

  11. The NFL is starting to switch back to the way it used to be, you hit the nail on the head. The running game opening up the passing game and run stopping, hard nosed defenses are coming back. As usual, the Cowboys are behind the league trend. McCarthy and Dak could have been successful, but they would need a Great OL, a Great RB, and 3 Pro-Bowl level recievers. We haven't had that since 2016.

  12. Come on we all know what the problem is I've been a commanders Redskin fan since 1971 so I know what your team and the problem is we got rid of our problem 2 years ago cuz he tried to be like your owner That's a common denominator of what's wrong with your team

  13. He brought us back2back2back 12 win seasons and got set up with a shitty off-season. He has the worst front office, and Dak hit his peak like 5 years ago, but you wanna blame MM? Was he perfect? Nope, no coach is, but to just point fingers at MM is ridiculous. JJ is our biggest problem, PERIOD

  14. Great video. You are so correct about NFL coaches in general. Most will live or die with a single mind set. Very few adapt their base design principle because they won't add players they need or refuse to due to pride in "their system". Great Coaches change with personnel or when defenses catch up to their offensive game plans.

  15. It doesn't matter who is the HC or QB. The only thing that has been consistent with losing since Jimmy, is Jerry/Stephen Jones. The only way to change this paradigm is NEW OWNERSHIP. The Commanders were a 4 win team in 2023. New ownership, new coaches, and now they're NFC Championship with avg players, some of who played for the Cowboys. Great video!!!

  16. So, the Jimmy Johnson style of football is still the league's besssssst style. CONTROL both lines and do whatever you want with a TE, FB, RB, QB, (2) Deep threat and over the middle receivers, and win TITLES.

  17. I pay attention to McCarthys first year and his last year as a Cowboys coach. His first year he had La'lel Collins, Tyrone Smith and Zack Martin injured with two of the injured missing practically all season with injuries. He ha revolver ng door with quarter backs after Dak went down with a injury
And horrible defence. They clawed a scraped to a 6 win season. Last yeSr Martin got hurt Diggs was hurt, Micha missed 4 game because of injury Dak Prescott missed 12 games because of injury. Tank Lawrence missed most of the season with injury. And they still scraped and clawed to to seven games. It's Landry, Johnson, McCarthy and Parcells top 4 greatest coaches.

  18. Why doesn’t anyone mention how instead of doing a staggered hike and they only used the HEAR WE GO SET defensive lines keyed in on that and never gave the offensive line a chance. When they went to the shotgun and would go on a staggered where he’d go HEAR WE GO…..Set and then they’d hike the defensive line couldn’t key in. Our run game had no chance cause Dak would walk to the line and go HEAR WE GO SET and the defense keyed in in every snap. This man who claimed to be innovative became predictable and our run game never had a chance to move the ball. It was frustrating to watch.
