  1. The chances of it happening within the hour are proportionate to how important the upcoming situation is and sometimes relative to the distance of us and a toilet. Sometimes it really is psychosomatic (e.g, excessive stress) and/or an actual case of consuming a bad batch of food/drink.

Probably some TMI here, but there have been many times when I could not stop using the toilet (normal solids) after eating little to nothing the previous 16 hours. All I can think of is "where is it coming from" or "dafuq is wrong with me"? This hits harder even when sticking to the usual diet. It's as if the body claims "nah, sick of this healthy eating" then hits the big red EMERGENCY button.

  3. My 81yr old Mother died about 18 months ago from severe diarrhoea, I found her curled up in a corner on the floor where she collapsed from exhaustion then had a heart attack.
Her entire bedroom was just covered in diarrhoea, it was absolutely everywhere.
It was the most confronting scene I'd ever seen and it something sadly I'll never forget.

  5. Some years back I had horrible vomiting and diarrhea. I seriously could have died. It was not food poisoning. It was a stomach virus. I had to have IVs. My magnesium was very low. It was absolutely horrible. I felt like I was blacking out on the way to the hospital. I was so dehydrated.
