Looked like there is a lot of rust on the second planetoid, but I didn't notice if there was any salt. Would be a good two birds with one stone to set up a rust deoxidizer, giving you oxygen and iron, if there is enough salt. You could always suck it out of the salt water geysers but now I'm just adding steps on steps.
I started my first spaced out run on this planet and found it quite frustrating. No oil/renewable water on main. Only one polluted water vent on teleporter planet that was all way sub zero and no dreckos. Made everything a challenge.
Can you build an igneous tile by the main area to help heat it? Keep the chill from creeping in?
Oh Echs, when are you going to remember to check the temperature of obsidian before mining into it.
Make a tile tunnel for that natural gas?

I found a design recently that farmed morbs, basically a few outhouses separated by doors so they are in their own room and a door with a pressure plate that … herded them into another room so they would continue to spawn, they were using it for O2 but I am remaking it with some improvements in automation because I was thinking about using it to create slime for pufts and algae for paku

Speaking about powering the rocket program – why not use plugslugs? You seem to have plenty of cobalt ore lying around, and with the metal volcanoes you likely won't need any other more except iron and gold amalgam.
You could use pips to plant trees to convert lumber into ethanol to burn in a petroleum generator to produce water and power. 👍
For the natural gas geyser, I'd probably set up an unpowered coolant loop to bring the biomes "cool" to the area of the gas pump you'd set up for natural gas. You only need enough heat removal to keep the gas pump from cooking. Those cold biomes can be tremendously useful in early game.

One way to deal with hot gas vents is to do backflow piping. Just like with a petroleum boiler have your pumped gas get re-heated and thus cooling all incoming gas before it gets to the pump. The heated gas, if hydrogen or natural gas, can then get destroyed when burned up. This allows you to keep the pump cool with very little additional cooling. It does however slow the amount of gas you can capture, as it will take quite a lot of time for the gas to flow through the backflow maze to get to the pump.
One way I know to destroy a lot of heat without turbines or oil is to instantly burn superheated ethanol. Just throttle the ethanol to 10% capacity in the pipe (to keep it from phase changing), and have it eat a lot of heat in a hotroom, then instantly burn it up in a petroleum generator.
Last time I tried it, I realized it gets a bit messy though, since a little ethanol vapor escapes and is released when it is burned in the generator, causing a mix of ethanol together with your released polluted water.
That lack of plastic/oil has got to be frustrating! Hopefully the first planetoid you discover (other than the teleporter one) has at least some dreckos!

Honest question: aren't you way too worried about the hydrogen and natural gay geysers' heat? My experience is if even you insulate it a gold amalgam pump will stay below 125°C for 500 cycles easily (in a 7×9 box at least) and you could just deplete it during dormancy and exchange with a steel pump later.
