  1. I went on a day trip to Rhyl when I was a nipper and remember it being nice but then that was nearly 40 years ago and it has massively gone downhill since then. It is really sad to see. I enjoyed the change of episode type, it is good to have more variety. Donโ€™t stop the abandoned houses or the paranormal though ๐Ÿ˜Š

  2. Iโ€™ve been to wales a few times and absolutely love the country. Iโ€™ve never been to Rhyl and enjoyed this episode. Iโ€™m curious as to what led to the downfall of the economy in this area?

  3. If you wanted to hit the danger side all you had to do is ask for my humber (wink wink). โค So very sad to see old cemeteries let go like that, shocked to see one with the statue of liberty on a grave. Nice video loved it thank you for taking your time out to do this for our amusement.

  5. You think Rhyls bad? You should come to Stoke, Hanley in particular.
Iโ€™ve been to Rhyl since I was a kid back in the 80s and the funny thing about these videos saying how it used to be is it actually used to be a lot more scruffy than it is now. In comparison to when we used to go itโ€™s actually pretty clean along the seafront.
Thereโ€™s needles and crap in almost every town, good and bad, poverty etc.
I was in Wales last week for the week and while I wouldnโ€™t of chose Rhyl to stay in. We drove through most days to get to the places we were visiting. We stopped one day and had a walk through and I found it fine and the beach is beautiful.
I mean come on, seems youโ€™re just trying to find the bad points. The graves overgrown? Really? Thereโ€™s thousands of graves in exactly the same state. If you look for negative you will always find it no matter where you are.
Iโ€™ve seen a lot of videos lately of people slagging Rhyl off and I think they forget that people do actually live there and love it. Iโ€™ve travelled a lot and I have seen much much worse. Believe me.

  7. Rhyl used to be so lovely. The fair, a theatre on the front a roller skating rink and paddling pools the clock amongst lights of green space and flowers. Now it's like some post apocalypse place. Very depressing. The council should be hanging heads in shame. Avoid Rhyl now and just go to Towyn ๐Ÿ˜ข

  8. Always have liked Adams suggestions for lovely romantic weekends. I remember the abandoned hotel up in Scotland. This is my third marriage.
Bloody ungrateful I say. Nice to see yours and Matt's was abit more amicable. The divorce that is. Sending the ex's these examples on how adults go about things. And their can still be a thriving relationship. The old photos of the lads selling rocks. Countylines back in the day? Whod of thought? Bless ya's.๐Ÿ’…

  9. Seeing graveyards in that state is a disgrace. Should so be respecting the dead. Don't respect the dead? You don't and wont fully respect the life you have till it's too late. 1st World War graves left to ruin. And we have thousands of young men sitting on their arse's doin nowt. Especially those in our prison cells. They're is some who really would do that to prove some worth. Especially to themselves. The state of this country is criminal. And those responsible should be brought to book. Especially those who took us into an illegal war. Basically we need another Nuremberg type trials in the future because they are bang to rights for treason and plenty of other heinous criminality. Where's the construction of palliative care over the years for the elderly to die in dignity? Kids today. How are they supposed to afford ยฃ400-600 a month before food and bills? Disgraceful and criminal. Alright if your offshore though and can afford a certain level of accountant. Setting it up for themselves to rob and manipulate the system. So they dont take account for their actions, mishaps and even crimes. We so need a dramatic change. How quick did Matt think about going for some Wetherspoons for that grub? Science wouldn't of been able to register those type of reactive speeds. Bless him. Would of been a ball if Josh was with yer. Bless. Takecare from a scuttled sinking ship that is England. Scotland. Wales. Katmandoo. Cleethorpes. Narnia. Haringey….
    actions.

In all fairness the sea front looks a lot better than it did 20 years ago , but i see what you mean about council been awarding themselves over inflated wages and pensions for years as well as full pay for being on the so called sick and over inflated pensions for the top brass .Total corruption

  11. Well done Adam, you've just moved over to a professional documentary in my opinion. Yes please do more of these. They are so interesting and you clearly did your investigation work before making the video. I want to see more of these.
I like the other stuff you do and a mix of it all makes for good viewing.

  12. Went to pontins back in the late 70โ€™s early 80โ€™s went sea fishing with my dad caught the biggest fish that day without a rod! Won first prize on the donkey Darby. Nothing like what I remember! Shame. Values have changed, life is a stranger to that area.

  13. Rhyl is now a white elephant town, the council has run the place into the ground NO Entertainment for the kids local or visiting, The so called SC2 has been out of commission due to a leaky roof and its too expensive for locals to use never mean anyone else. Now the Local Cinema is also closing,
The Council in Denbighshire have a lot to answer to….

  14. Such a shame. Great upload! Rhyl is beautiful and the amount of Manchester, Birmingham citizens holidaying here was so immense back in the day. It was an English haven. It would be lovely to get this beautiful Rhyl back to it's original Welsh culture. Beautiful place.

  15. I think that this is a great new direction–not just exploring, but revealing the corruption that leads to abandoned places and towns in the first place. Or the incompetence, or the greed–because every abandoned place has a story, and some of those stories really need to be told. Maybe with more videos like this one, you might raise awareness enough to reduce the number of dead downtowns and economic wastelands. Really well done. Thank you.
