  1. Oh gosh…8 tracks!! That was the worst format EVER to come out for recorded music!! I would get so pissed when, in the middle of a song, (sometimes the best song on the album) the stupid thing would have to change tracks in order to play the rest of it because of how they formatted it. So annoying. My dad had one in his car. That's how I found out about the format.
    Fortunately for me, I never had to deal with that pain in the a** system because I went straight for vinyl when buying my music, and soon bought a cassette recorder so I could make tapes of my records and from FM radio stations to play my favourite songs in my car.

    FWIW, I still spin plenty of vinyl today, including some of the albums I bought back in the day when I first started buying records. A lot of those date back to the very early 1970s, and I even have one or 2 from the 60s, even before I became a teenager and really got into pop and rock music.
