Just finished the final boss of the Dlc and Prod you are In for a FUN time.👏🏻🔥💙
They're probably giving you lower level smithing stones so you don't have to go and buy a bunch each time you find a new weapon you wanna upgrade.
You should definitely follow the ruin map quest all the way through to the end. No spoilers(if you've not finished it) the boss there is one you'd really enjoy. Straight out of Bloodborne.
1-max smithing stones so you don’t have to go to main game to max level your equipment. The arrows though are wild as hell

I criticized the item placements too and was met with the usual drone COPIUM of “WHAT SO IT HAS TO BE A WEAPON OR A SECRET AREA EVERYTIME!? STOP BEING ENTITLED🤓”. I’ve never seen a more fragile fanbase for games than the rabid Elden ring fans.
Ansbach glazing Miquella reminds me of the lines in berserk when mule(and MUCH later ganishka)are glazing griffith in almost a similar lovecraftian way. Also miura himself would glaze griffith (in the character description in some volumes it says something insane like”it’s as if the character in a story could challenge the author). It’s so obvious Miquella is just a griffith reference. But it’s well done. And Miquella parallels marika.

Prod went a very different way then I did in the DLC. I did all of the Dragon area and both the Red and Blue flowerfields before I went to Scadu Altus.
This is why I love open world games. I’ve been to so many areas you haven’t so far in this series but I just got to the Bonny village today.

I feel like people are forgetting that this DLC is not exclusively a post-game zone but can be integrated into normal progression in a playthrough. Thats why various smithing stones exist.
Also, some of the loot like the 10x arrows are basically just shinies that make you want to get them in order to guide you through a level. Think of it as this games yellow ledges

I done did my challenge run, just finished the DLC on my lvl 80 Tarnished, Holy smokes that was a asswhooping and a half.

aa far as i know, getting near shadow keep is what causes the rune to break, moving some questlines into the next phase(you should be good, pretty sure from the footage ive seen you should get all the content still). also, the mute guy wants you to use a new emote on him
