  1. Phosphorous is on hot planets you just harvest it like copper. It also recharges your multitool mining beam You get a lot of oxygen from hazardous flora, uranium is from nuclear planets, and ammonia on toxic planets. You can get freighter upgrade modules from doing the missions in the space station,. and the anomaly. nexus. First cubical on every space station bottom left, as well as harvesting crashed freighters on planets.

  2. I love this game. It's a blast watching you figure things out and having a good time!

    — There is one derelict freighter layout per star system. Using another scanner in the same system gives you exactly the same derelict. Good for repeat runs.
    — There are lots of heating units in the freighters. You kept walking past them. 🙂
    — There are always 4 large computer temrinals in derelicts – one to open the door, one for crew manifest, one for captain's log, and one for final loot (only one choice allowed as you found out).
    — The derelict final loot choices are always:
    1) a tech upgrade module for your freighter
    2) bulkhead for more tech/inventory slots for your freighter
    3) nanites
    — Captain's log and crew manifest can be given to junk merchant for tainted metal, or someone upstairs for increased reputation.
    — The sentinels came after you because at 53:24 while shooting at pirates you accidentally shot the space station.
    — Put a bulkhead door on your freighter base and you can walk outside to see the whole buildable area.
    — Salvaged data unlocks blueprints at the anomaly, while salvaged frigate modules unlock blueprints on your freighter (both tech for the freighter, and freighter base parts).

  4. You need to go on a mission to scan all life on a planet as your get 2000 to 3000 nantites per planet. You should avoid planet with underground creatures because they are hard to find.

  5. You chat is not helping you much …O2 has not been available for sale anywhere for several updates. The fact that you are still USING O2 instead of simply crafting life support gel is nearly criminal. When you go to refuel you life support look at what your options are …..same for hazzard support.. lofe support gel and ion batteries …..you can craft both

  6. You can save a lot of Sodium if you are activating the heaters in all rooms. Oh, you can find them using "F", it also shows you terminals and room exits. I can't understand why not everyone in the chat was yelling that at you. 😉 Shooting friendly units trigger the sentinel ships.
You should use more ships. One for hyper jumps (Explorer), put all hyper drive upgrades on this. One for fighting, put all weapon/shields upgrades on this. And maybe a solar for exploring system, put all impulse drive upgrades on this (you can also use the explorer for this). I highly recommend to take a read in the Wiki about ships.

Until you have the ships you can deconstruct and store your hyper drive and exchange it for weapons/shield modules while in a system. Cronus is a whiny bitch. I hate cooking.^^

  7. If u end up doing another d freighter it would only take two shots of a neutron cannon to take out those creatures one to break open the sac and another to kill them all at once🤙 makes it much faster if u plan on doing 12-15 of them to get all 15 d freighter buildable plans

  8. How many hours in and you have not figured out that you BUILD the base weapons ie: rockets for your ship. The basics of the freaking tutorial are lost on this goldfish brained streamer.

  9. useful starship weapons and technologies for fighting!

Photon Cannon – default starship weapon. fairly decent against both shields and hull

Rocket Launcher – Incredibly powerful shot of rockets with a long cool down. Incredibly effective against ship hulls, not effective against ship shields.

Phase Beam – Leaches off of enemy shields and adds to your own. effective against shields and helps maintain your own. The phase beam is also much better for mining asteroids, as it can destroy them very quickly and is a constant beam, allowing more consistent and efficient mining. This one is my personal favorite and I feel that it would definitely solve your shield problem.

Cyclotron Ballista – Stun weapon that is incredibly effective against shields. Not so effective against hull. When you fire on an enemy without shields, it will stun/slow them down a bit.

Positron Ejector – This is basically a shotgun for your starship. Incredibly effective on enemy hulls at short range. Not very effective against shields. Also, due its wide spread, you can use it to very quickly destroy tiny little rocks while flying near the surface of a planet, can very quickly get you a ton of ferrite dust and other minerals.

Infra-Knife Accelerator – Shoots two shots at once at a very high rate of fire, but has a much longer cooldown time and no lock-on like the Photon Cannon has. They are very effective against the hull. A high risk, high reward weapon. The long cooldown and more focus on aim may make it difficult.

  10. I feel like your chat is feeding you wrong information sometimes.

Your freighter does not fight with you. Its you combat FRIGATE that does (which you do not own). If you want your freighter to fight, you must bait the enemies into its lasers' range. (Basically a spitting distance from the freighter.). However, this is not recommended because they have terrible aim and will miss all of their shots.

You wanted something that will recharge your starship shields automatically. While there isn't an automatic way, the PHASE BEAM weapon has an upgrade that leeches enemy starship shields and converts it into your shields. You can buy both the PHASE BEAM and its upgrade in the Anomaly.

While on starship, press " , " To divert ship power. Cycle it to your weapons or shields or engines when appropriate.

  11. Loving the series. Your enthusiasm for the storage containers on your freighter is basically the same (for me as a woman) as finding comfy cargo pants with really good pockets. It IS magical 🙂
Also, you can move the existing corridors and rooms on your freighter if you want – you scored one with a bit of a maze! Just be careful not to delete the part you're moving if you haven't learned the blueprint for it yet. Maybe practice on rooms you know you can build from scratch. I got caught out pressing the wrong button a few times and losing good rooms, lol.

  12. Protip: If you don't want to keep spending units to find Derelict Freighters, you can go to the anomaly and get a free one once a week by talking to the guy up the ramp on the right side of the anomaly. I think his name is Helios? Click the dialogue option that says "ask about Derelict Freighters." Also, Derelict Freighters have a chance to contain cosmetic items for bases in the loot containers

  13. My man, in a derelict freighter; there is always a heater in every room. Don't forget to turn them on so you don't have to go back a long way and also so you can save your resources and not keep recharging your shield. 😉

  14. I'm so glad Jon popped his galactic cherry on the swarming roaches from the throbbing pods. Every system has a different ship layout with 3 types of enemies.

You need rocket boots for traveling and to go frigate shopping. Later on they can make you around $10+ million per day passively in the background.

  15. Watching you discover new things like Freighter base building and storage container access never gets old.

Throwing in some tips as we love to do here on YT:

You might need some more tech slots on your Starship but the Phase Beam is worth having as a secondary weapon as it recharges your shield if you hit an enemy shield with it, very handy for longer dogfights.

Fabricate Technology Upgrade is generally the best option from Derelicts (Cargo Bulkheads are easier to come by once you raise your rep with the Merchant Guild) but the class of upgrade is always the same for a given Derelict and there's one Derelict per system, so if the upgrade isn't S it's best to try another system. Once you find one that gives S you can keep running it over and over. Fully upgrading the Freighter is a long grind but once you have all the portal glyphs you could find glyphs to a system with a known S class derelict to save finding one yourself.

Building a good fleet for expeditions takes some time but once it's rolling and you can send 5 expeditions a day it's a really good passive money maker for minimal time investment which means you can focus on progressing other things and don't have to spend much time making units.

  16. You should ignore investing in this ship. Its ok and its S. But before you manage to get enough storage expansions you finish everything that was to do in this game. You know already how to get sentinel ships. Find one. At least B.(but even C can be better).

  17. 0:29 Forget ship vs suit inventory storage. Install a matter beam upgrade in your freighter and put everything there. You will always be able to access the freighter inventory from any system and it's like having triple the space of suit inventory.
