Explaining the Voyager Loop | Star Trek Fleet Command's new loop is complicated but also valuable

I know @everyone thinks the new loop is complicated. I’m not here to disagree with you. BUT, if you want the quick and dirty of where to go, what to hit, and how to do it, this video will provide all the basics for unlocking the Voyager and starting Star Trek Fleet Command’s new loop. (Even if it is terribly convoluted and complex)

Topics covered:

1. Unlocking the USS Voyager 101: The Free To Play path
2. 2 Hostiles and 2 Mining Nodes and how exactly they work
3. Explaining the basics of the refinery (shoutout Julesvern for helping me with the spreadsheet!)
4. If you have any game mechanic questions, feel free to drop those questions in the comments!

  1. Way too complicated. You need Voyage to even thingk about it and to get Voyager, you need to either spend $$$ or wait 50 or 100 days minimum, assuming you're willing to grind for hours, as the lower-level Hunters have piddly amounts and ar few and far between, even if yo jump from system to system. (As a side note, I don't even have Defiant because that is also WAY too complicated!) 8472 ships will kill anything besides Voyager as far as I can tell. In essence, if you are below level 40, fuggedaboudit. They "fixed" the game now but if you don't have Voyager, you may as well stick to regular grinding for the studd you can get efficiently. Even the missions are one-at-a-time so there is no fast completion even in that area. All things considered, this game is becoming less and less fun as time goes on – to the point where it is no fun at all. Unless, once again, you're a whale, cuz as we all know, that's who all this new stuff is primarily aimed at.

  2. Hirogen Elites drop @150 tokens, but also drop a chest with 350 tokens. There are also Transports that spawn like the Ferengi Traders in Borg Space. The Transports drop @750 tokens.

  3. I've put up a Peace shield for a week. Im not happy wit any part of this new arc and going to decide on weather or not I'm going to continue playing this game. The game runs poorly yet scopely wants our cash. A lot of the pimes ate useless inm opinion. So much junk in this game. it runs like junk too

  4. Agreeing with everyone else. They keep upping the screen time if you want to not take 2 years to get ships without paying a massively overpriced amount.

Seems each arc they are decreasing the enjoyment by adding chores or having people fall much further behind without paying hundreds of dollars a month. Lose lose it seems if you're trying to you know, but food and enjoy a game.

Granted in the two or so months until I get the ship I'll have likely forgotten about any of this and the ship will likely be useless for whatever next grind they have gotten added to the game.

  5. What is Scopely thinking? What happened to life balance? I play a couple hours everyday. Try to any way – but at least 4-5 days a week. I can barely keep up with the daily grind. I really don't have time for the other 999 factions, mining, hostile hunting, and TC that gets thrown at me. I'm sure the players that live in their moms basement and only stop playing to answer the door for door dash love it. But I really have a life and it's not in the Star Trek Universe! At the current pace, I'd have to hire a First Officer and an Engineer to keep my game play going. Something has to give. Some of us have other things to do besides going PEW PEW PEW all day long! 😱

  6. Thanks for the explanation, the loop makes more sense now… sort of lol, agree, there is too much turnaround time on the clock for the second and third refinery sections for 8472 and anomaly redeems. But have managed to do the loop efficiently as possible and got my Voyager a tier up.

  7. Does anyone know: Does it make sense to send a stronger ship (for example, a 18M Pilum) to the DQ Token Space while the Voyager has low cargo space? Right now, my Voyager has 6,600 max cargo. I need 30k in anomaly samples to do a refine. I used one of my two tokens already. Can a properly-crewed 18M ship defeat Species ships and fill up the larger cargo bay? I would go to the FSEP-505 (36) system. Thoughts please?

  8. Nope this video did nothing to help me . Where to get the tokens dude ? Im glad yer fancy and upgraded in 24 hrs …. Try remembering this isnt our job and help us with the basics. Typical elite nonsense

  9. Hey Rev, I've watch your vid on how to Voyager, but i find it useless when i can't use Voyager to defeat the hostiles in the beginning system. They are no buffs and a right out the box ship, can't make dent to farm reasonably. The Mantis got buffs for us to start with, why not Voyager. Thanks. By the I'm a lvl 34 Ops and FTP.

  10. What I got stuck on was the mining part which wasn't really explained well in the video. Also something to know up front is you need to do Voyager mining research and upgrade the ship or you're going to have a bad time. Field training in the game doesn't explain this either.
