Expedition MDRS Crew261 – Welcome on Mars !



This is the first video of the MDRS Crew 261 – May 2023.

We, the Transatlantic Mars Society, consisting of seven space professionals, are excited to announce our upcoming Analogue Astronaut mission to the Mars Desert Research Station, from May 1st until May 12th, which we have been planning meticulously for the past three years.

Representing The Mars Society (http://www.marssociety.org) and its French Chapter, Association Planète Mars (https://planete-mars.com), our team, known as MDRS Crew 261, comprises individuals with diverse expertise and backgrounds:

Our mission, simulating a two week Mission to Mars, is planned for May 1 – 12, 2023 at the Mars Desert Research Station (MDRS) in southern Utah, USA. The team will conduct several experiments and projects, including testing experimental robotic designs, new technologies for coordinated field science using Virtual Reality, biofeedback and pharmacology studies, simulating Mars-like conditions to grow algae for human food and oxygen production, blockchain-based voting and logistics management, and more.
