18:18 The man from the Texas Tech Matador Club NIL on May 6, 2024 365 Sports interview had a great point about if the money didn't go to scholarships, it would be taxable. Right now the students' scholarships aren't taxable. The prize money should be converted into scholarship to avoid a tax bill. He says that at the tail end of the interview. https://youtu.be/CTJVEGRtE30?si=B53CBfhtuegpxYZN
By the way…. Hey y'all, .wich is better Taco Villa, or Rosa's Cafe? It's an on going debate that is pretty much 50/50. Most in Fritch, and Lake Meredith say Taco Villa including me, or it's a tie. Aaron, and I started this B12 online debate on the Monty Show featuring 2 holes, and Monty Fat Ass,. Yes i actually watch, it. It's better than Jim Rome now days.Lol I guess I should ask Smoaky, and the 365 crew later, and the godfather Greg Flugar (PATC) too if I'm still up from working graveyards. Lol
When I listen to how much teams can pay, and are paying for BB players, I kinda’ want to throw up ! Sport is dead….it’s all who’s the richest now ! Yuk!
20 conference games is gruesome. Need major depth to try to get your team to tournament healthy(ish) and fresh. Also, other conferences aren’t doing it. Just like football, SEC protects their programs with less rigorous scheduling.
This NIL stuff is a mess. Chasing individual money vs. what's best for the sports/fan complex. Right now college sports are trying to ride two horses with just one ass.
Tech lost the UT game & OK St. lost bedlam. Why don't they try to pair Tech vs. OK St. after Thanksgiving to try replace those games. It could turn into a bigger rivalry over the next few years. Just a thought. It would make the final game for both schools more meaningful, especially if something is on the line (bowl game, play-off, or conference championship game at stake). 🤔
How do you feel about the thought of monetary incentives being included in basketball &/or football events?
I am old, so I might need to get on my porch, but I don’t like college football becoming a minor league for the NFL.
The incentives have to align with the personnel else TTU will end up like USC and Miami: throwing all of that money ONLY to end up with a 7-5 record.

I try to avoid hammers to the face whenever possible! 😂
If you can dodge a wrench….
I like the idea that those two extra games are from a big xii in season tournament event.
Also, bring in the zags, and why not 2 time defending champs UConn?
