  1. I wonder if there is a graphics solution by rendering everything with PS1 levels of details, but some kind of temporally sensitive stable diffusion pipeline to paint deepfakes of everything including micro expression facial animation?

    You could place different types of markers all over the PS1 style rigs for the AI to recognize. This would allow you to customize the parameters.

    i didnt understand at first .. isnt dp4a instructions the same as shader model 6.4 ?
    since dp4a is only supported in shader model 6.4 and above

  3. Considering this is Intel's first attempt with XeSS, I'd said they're off to a really great start. It looks like XeSS already has better image quality than either DLSS or FSR did at their respective debuts, so it looks quite promising. I'll be even more interested to see XeSS 2.0 now as well, once they iron out any early issues. I'm curious to see comparisons of it on non-Intel hardware as well. I'm surprised that wasn't touched on more in this video.

  4. It looks like XeSS is exhibiting some fundamental problem with under-sampling, resulting in numerous raster interference artifacts (moire, etc), visible particularly in fine-detail surfaces. I think Intel should re-evaluate the temporal accumulation subroutine of XeSS, since this type of post-processing is meant to suppress the moire artifacts.

I still think that the same upscaling method used by Microsoft on Xbox since the Xbox 360 would be enough, in most games It looks as good as native and most of the time it's difficult to spot the game's true resolution. Playing Series S on a 4K TV looks as good as a 1080p one. Still it's good to see that now we have 3 good image resconstruction technique available, 2 being GPU agnostic.

  6. I really don't care about seeing comparisons of slow moving cameras or still shots. When you actually play games you move around a lot, at that point Native wins every time.

  7. Being that uncharted got the ps5 upgrade does anyone think pc port in October will still be superior over the ps5 or are you better off just staying with the ps5 version and saving the 50 dollars?
