  1. I REALLY LOVED THIS VIDEO GUYSโ€ฆ I ACTUALLY LOVE THE EXCALIBUR AS WELL AS THE LUXOR FOR STRIP HOTELS. AND Iโ€™M A DOWNTOWN LAS VEGAS FOUR QUEENS GUY.
I HAVE DO HAVE A QUICK QUESTION, WHATSโ€™S THE LUGSOR??????????

  4. Thanks for the video. I have been wanting to stay there for a while now. I go to gamble and am disgusted by the hoity-toity transition Vegas is trying to make. I don't want to spend $300 on one dinner. The options you showed are perfect for me. I lived in Vegas for a while back in the 80's and used to get a hot dog, soda and bag of popcorn for 75 cents, full breakfast with ham, bacon or sausage, eggs, hash browns, toast and coffee for 99 cents! Those days are gone forever. I played at the Excalibur and was trying to show my new husband how to play video poker and was lucky enough to get a Royal Flush while explaining it to him! Lots of fun!

  5. I never had any issues here. I'm the kind of person who just wants a comfy bed to sleep in and a shower in the morning.
    Perfect spot for that ๐Ÿ˜

If you're looking for a luxury experience it's obviously not the place for you haha.

  6. we have a saying in the uk "you get what you pay for" this is true of excalibur, we stayed here last year and will be back again in august. the buffet is good value and the staff are friendly,

  7. Excalibur seems to be the dumping ground for MGM when it comes to room comps lately, I loose a-lot of money and stay at Aria/ Vdara quite frequently and this is where they send me comps for.ย
I have never set foot in Excalibur yet they offered me 4 nights here or 2 nights at Luxor or 1 night at Park MGM, shows what monetary value they place on their own resorts.
Looks fun to the 20 year old version of me, but I am way too old now for that level of Chaos.

  8. I've stayed there a few times simply because it's a cheaper option and it's on the Strip. Now, unfortunately, therein lies the problem, cheaper options, such as Excalibur, will attract a cheaper, less respectful, less controlled, less sophisticated type of people. Granted it's not me, you'll get loud mouths, rowdy people, families with loud children, those people who allow their kids to run around and treat everyone else like shit, you'll get people who don't respect rules and for example, smoke in their rooms and trash the place. It's not perfect, but it's by far not as HORRIBLE as many people make it out to be. The buffets are good, most of the employees are wonderful, but the most of the clientele frankly sucks.

  9. Love the Excalibur is a good budget hotel from MGM. I always get a few comp nights from them if you have the players card and book directly from the app. Regarding the pool you now can use the mandalay bay pool if you are an Excalibur resort guest its just a tram ride away. Also its really close to the football stadium. If you want to get to center strip the bus is very cheap and easy to get to.

  10. My sister and I are coming to Vegas next month. I'm staying at Luxor and she is staying in a suite at excalibur. We will switch rooms if one is bad so that way neither has a horrible stay.

I have heard that Excalibur rooms aren't as bad as Circus Circus but (as you said) they're basic but clean.

Luxor I hear more positive things about (depending on the tower and room) so I'm excited about crossing off two more MGM resorts from my list.

  11. Excellent observations, I have been to Las Vegas about 20 times, I have stayed in many hotels from the Venetian, New York, Paris, Excalibur etc. And I have never had a bad experience in this hotel, in fact I recommend it, I like the location because it is at the beginning of the strip and I like to walk up visiting all the hotels.

  12. I've never had any issues staying at Excalibur…it definitely needs cosmetic updating but it's in my favorite area of the Strip and usually cheaper in price than the other hotels nearby and i like the food court…the rest of my family hates it lol

  13. My family of 4 (with 2 small boys) stayed at Excalibur in late Aug of last year and we had the best time. My kids keep asking when we'll be going back. It's covinent to walk to the MGM, NewYorkNewYork, the M&M store, ABC store. We ate at Dick's Last Resort, and they sang a great Dick's version of Happy Birthday to my boys. There's the arcade downstairs, which my boys l loved (we skipped the Knights and kings show that was also downstairs). We got access to their private VIP pool area in the morning and we had the pool to ourselves ($75) from 9am to about 12p (when other people started coming in). My kids had the best time in the pool. There's also a large general guest pool, but it was crowded (at 9 am). The room was basic, that was okay for us though. Overall, we'll, definitely stay there again.

  14. Spot on review ! What it has going for it is a decent location and NY NY and MGM Grand is nearby and a short walk. It's definitely the cheapest MGM owned hotel if you want to save money on accomodations. The Rio and Strat are also cheap like Excalibur but their locations are awful. I thought the Excalibur Buffet was disgusting. It reminded me of the awful buffet in the National Lampoon Vegas Vacation movie. The rooms are clean but worn and tired. Instead of Excalibur, for just a little bit more money, Luxor is way nicer but still reasonably priced and I think staying in the Pyramid is very cool. For example I am going to Vegas over Memorial Day weekend for 5 nights, and Luxor was only $100 more for the entire trip, and I am getting a much nicer room. But if you want to save money, I think Excalibur has the best location of any low priced Vegas hotel and MGM seems to comp better than any other hotel brand.

  16. Great review! I went there for the first time when I was a teen back in the early 90s! It was incredible to see as it was so gigantic and sort of by itself on that end of the Strip back then. Never stayed there as I usually get comps or cheap rates at other MGM resorts. I will be stopping there next trip there for some slots!

  17. Stay at Excalibur twice a year, fly in from Chicago on Spirit Airlines. Both are GREAT and tired of anyone ragging on either. Prices are excellent and superior service…on both!
