Pretty sure that one of the big discoveries from the New Horizons Pluto data is that it has ice continents.
Earth was braught here as a comet from the pleadian galaxy. The expanding earth theory is correct, as the earth was positioned closer to the sun it expanded no different then an egg boiling in water, eventually the shell cracks from expansion. The ice melted into the oceans, which is why there was two miles of ice over canada for instance, not because of an "ice age".
Most of the planets are artificial, this is seen through the hexagonal patterns in their design, which has to do with Metatrons Cube, the 2nd sun etc.

im guessing impacts of the size needed to "crack" the entire crust would just obliterate the planet. Sounds sketchy, and as others have said….this isn't like cracking a hard boiled egg….quite a bit more to it than that.
According to the Bible, Earth was created as a planet full of water, then land was formed. This might be why plate tectonics formed on Earth. The immense amount of water on the surface and within the crust acted as a lubricant/buoy.

I feel on a cosmic scale, the shifting continents is the earth breathing, contracting and relaxing and the cooling and warming periods are the heart beats. At the moment we have given it the equivelent to an adrenaline shot, we dont exactly need climate change though, we need a climate correction, the earth will always be beating and breathing, we just need to learn how to harmonise to it.

I always thought continental crust had a lower specific gravity than the dense mantle on which they float – a bit like froth in a boiling pot. Was that just baloney?
We must be grateful for the impact that created continents. Otherwise, the whole planetary population would walk to the United States if they couldn't afford the air fare.
One would ask why Jupiter has had a giant hurricane for hundreds of years while others don’t.
I don’t think the impact of a large asteroid is necessary to say why we have the continental plates we have though. I expect that is expected given the thin shell of crust we have vs the hot molten core that is dynamic with its movement. You can’t have that many billions of tons of molten material moving without it not affecting the upper crust and it’s stability.
Very interesting as always. FWLIW: My favourite explanation for plate tectonics starting is the 'Hand of God' or 'Celestial Banana Skin'. In a nutshell super contents are doomed because they form an insulating cap that promotes a mantle plume… the plume rises shattering the super contentment, and the pieces move round until they accrete to form the next super continent. Assuming the first continental crust formed as a sufficiently large continent plate tectonics becomes inevitable. (It helps that Earth has a large core for heat and water at or near the surface for lubrication)
