  1. I'd like to take the time to honor the brave officers that prioritized their own safety over little children. I mean it takes guts to be a police officer, they have lives too. I mean it's not like they volunteered to be in a dangerous job profession. Fucking swine

  2. When he is reading an online article, I wish he would share the link as he sometimes does not enuciate the words properly and reads VERY QUICkLY. At 2:45, he reads "reportedly after an argument about failing to graduate" and immediately after that I can not make out the next words. "in socho law"? I played the clip many times but still can not understand the words after "graduate" and I searched for the exact article but can't find it. Please, Ben, provide a link for the articles that you read SO QUICKLY. Thanks

  3. I think Dan Bongino (sp.?) had a great idea. Have local retired police and military, who are already trained to carry a firearm, donate their time at schools and in return give them a tax break.

  4. The word evil is interesting. I think you kinda lumped mental illness and evil together. I don't get how people get away with terrible acts in one instance and not another. Should the asylum make a comeback? Didn't really work out before, but I'm open to tossing these guys into a tiled room. Where do you draw the line? What's the freaking answer!

  5. This kid had over 9 thousand dollars worth of guns and ammo. WHY ISNT ANYONE TALKING ABOUT THAT?!?! Who supplied this kid with no job no credit these guns or the money.????

  6. Oh Ben, you're just such a great guy for not naming the shooter, such effort and great work you're doing……..(that's sarcasm by the way, I know most Americans don't get it).
Just ban your semi-automatic weapons and get a buy back scheme going. Register all firearms with a national firearms registery that is fully digitised. Heres a fact….you only need a bolt action rifle to hunt, do pest control or if you're sad enough, shoot targets. National firearms registration doesn't infringe your freedom because if you've got nothing to hide, then you won't have problem registering your 1 or 2 bolt action rifles that you own because you have a legitimate reason.
Get a grip America. We did in Australia 🇦🇺 and I'm so glad we did. Guess what, it worked. Dont tell me it didnt, it did. Look at the cold hard data. You all look so stupid in the eyes of the rest of the world. You should see yourselves. You should be embarrassed and ashamed of yourselves. Bunch of complete gronks.

  7. The way this whole thing went down and Beatles showing up the way he did and the kid not having a job to pay the money. He had to have to buy the ammo and the guns. I truthfully believe that the administration was behind it and told this kid that he would get off and get a bunch of money after all. So many gave him the money for the guns. Beatles showed up and mouth off. They're trying to make a big political statement out of this. What do you think?

  8. How did he get in excess of $10,000.00 worth of weaponry? How is that possible?? I saw a breakdown of how much each weapon cost, along with the optics, ammo, etc.. $10,000.00 dollars!

  9. So Britain name the shooter and has had zero school shootings since a change in gun laws 25 years ago. But America is so aware of what can fuel these events happening again that they don't name the shooter….and they also lead the world in the slaughter of children at school. Classic gas lighting, Ben.

  10. Whenever we’re talking about any sort of gun control, an often-heard conservative argument about these mass shootings is it’s not a gun problem; it’s a mental health problem. At the same time, many conservatives say these mass shooters are simply evil criminals and they won’t follow any gun control laws that are implemented. Which is it? I think we can all agree that we don’t want weapons in the hands of mentally ill people, and by making it harder to get a gun, it can be a deterrent to these individuals (someone who is mentally unstable is more likely to be hindered by logistical barriers, as it takes more commitment to get around them). If it’s not a mental health issue, then is America just doomed to having evil people go on suicide attacks every week?

  11. I swear Ben was actually close to tears in this clip…

It came through in his voice.

While we’re on the topic of how the media covers shootings depending on who the perpetrators are and what not, Ben’s right; if it’s a white supremacist, they hammer at home that this despicable individual is/was a white supremacist as they should, I might add. Yes, the coverage of the shooting involving the Chinese suspect in California and the African-American suspect in the New York City subway was virtually nonexistent, which also isn’t right.

With that said, are we not also going to call out conservative leaning outlets who refer to these mass shootings as being carried out by individuals who aren’t indicative of a certain group of people as a whole, but immediately pounce when the shooter happens to be a Muslim? Are we not gonna call them out for doing the same thing that left leaning media outlets do; lumping everyone who happens to share a common trait with the shooter in with him?

Frankly, it’s high time both sides of the media landscape start giving us the facts and stop injecting their own political slants.

  12. Teachers having to secure their own classrooms because Democrats refuse to harden schools. Every Factory requires a secure entry, every bank has massive security and yet we can't create a safe environment for kids when they're inside the school. Every vehicle on the road is required to have seatbelts and it is the law for us to use them and yet school buses don't even give you a choice because there are no seat belts. The Democrats claim it would take too much money to do these things and yet they just shelled out trillions of dollars for nothing and they want everyone including the poorest taxpayer to pay for the school loans of elite college students who seem to think everything should be handed to them on a silver platter.

How many times have I heard, "you don't need guns because the police will protect you". The performance of the police in this case is proof positive that the second amendment should never be compromised in any way.

  13. Mr. Shapiro – this video politicized a horrible event of unspeakable tragedy and immediately steered the conversation towards your political talking points. I'm not anti-conservative by any means, but please be less devisive and more respectful in your speech on this issue. For example, people's thoughts turning to gun control – specifically restricting people's ability to buy assault weapons – is very predictable, natural, and sane whether you agree with that policy or not. In this video, right after the mass shooting, you attempt to villanize concerned citizens who share different opinions than you. I do agree that the "mainstream" media platforms gun control advocates and highlights Republican's in-action in the Senate to pass ANY kind of gun reform, but you are behaving at least the exact same way, and in my opinion much worse. I don't usually type comments like this, and it's not my intention to increase division, but I feel strongly as if you're doing a horrible wrong with your immediate and self-assured political posturing. Let's all work together, compromise, and reach across the aisle in order to solve this devastating issue in a loving way so that it NEVER happens again.

  14. Just get rid of guns easy, no mass murders in Australia, what’s the next plan for stupid America? More guns? Give the teachers guns the guards guns and the kids guns that way everyone will have a gun

  15. Mr Shapiro, I enjoy watching your videos and agree with the majority of what you say on various topics. Here however, we disagree.

I understand America's position with regards to its second amendment and the right to bear arms, the fact that there are many more guns than people in the country and that is not going to change any time soon. Two points I'd like to make though in direct response to this video. The first: there is a common thread running through all the mass shootings you reference – that is quite obviously they took place with guns. This appears to be so much of a given that is does not form part of the conversation.

The second point is regarding gun control: I see your view like this – the hurdles a person must overcome to become a gun owner do not need to change, some may be damaged, but putting more hurdles in their place isn't the answer. Perhaps we should mend the existing hurdles (i.e. enforcement) and that will contribute to the issue. Yet I feel this misses the point entirely – no matter how many hurdles you place in front of gun ownership, no matter how you tend to the hurdles, if someone wants to get hold of a gun for the purposes of killing people in America it seems disarmingly easy to do so. Sure, increased background checks on mental health are going to help. Maybe better advice on responsible gun ownership too. I'm sure there are others which space here will not permit me to outline. My point being though that whilst guns exist in your society it will always be possible for a determined individual, regardless of race, ethnicity, colour, ,mental heatlh status – get to hold of such weapons.

I'm from the UK. As you well know, a few years ago we had a referendum to decide whether or not we should leave the European Union – to whcih we as a country voted in favour. There was tremendous debate beforehand but ultimately a decision was made and followed through on. Would not such a referendum be possible for America in terms of the accessibility of guns? Surely that way the American people could decide as opposed to the excruiating recurrence of the headbashing arguments on both sides of this debate that permeate the airwaves in the aftermath of such a horrific event as this most recent shooting.

I''m not sure whether the critera forming such a referendum need to be black and white. What are the purpose of guns in the second amendment? To allow one to defend themselves from an uprising? Time has moved on from the Wild West, hasn't it? If the Capitol riots are the most recent example of an uprising, am I right in saying that the only gun used was that of a law official? Are most gun shootings in America the result of people defending themselves from an uprising? I would suggest not.

This is clearly a complicated topic and I certainly do not have all the answers, and no doubt have not expressed myself here in the most eloquent way possible, but such conversations are important and surely need to take place should the world want to move forward in this regard.

  16. It's also not legal to go into a school and start shooting kids.. so.. what's your point? The shooter obviously doesn't care about the law. But he's not building these guns in his house. There are people along the supply chain who do obey the law, so that's what we should be targeting.

  17. Okay but are there NEGATIVE consequences to more stringent gun laws? E.g. increasing the minimum age for legal AR-15 ownership? Background checks? It seems quite obvious that such measures would at the very least reduce the frequency of such occurrences…

  18. Do you think schools should have scanners like like other government buildings have? They would put items in totes to go through the scannders, then the students would walk through metal detectors. Armed police team would be needed for before school starts and then again afterwards to protect kids coming in and out before the security clearances.

  19. I would sure love to hear your perspective on the claims that the Uvalde shooter as far as his financial ability to purchase the said fire arms he used in his shooting spree. I am an avid gun owner (military) and I’ve seen YouTube videos discussing the make and cost of the fire arms he supposedly bought “legally” and used in his shooting. I don’t know how a Hispanic kid with his demographics and broken family could afford to make the gun and ammo purchases he supposedly made. What’s your take on this?

  20. The conversation on the shooting in Buffalo was about gun control as well, but you can't argue that the shooter was racially motivated, so it's important to talk about it. The shooter in Uvalde was not racially motivated, thats why nobody talks about it. It's as simple as that

  21. When i hear this, we need to get to yhe root.of the problem. Its obvious time and time again is proof that adults are not responsible. No gunds for no one, only law officials yhat are mentally and emotionally and mentally and physically and well and properly trained, should only have them. I believe. I was in situations where a person got shot in my face, and i helped save thier life. Its sad, lots of real stories of young kids accidentally killing others. People have lots of anger and cant control thier behavior anger, and severe mental issues paranoid people have them guns and they become a danger to themselves and others, due to paranoia. Stay home if your scared. Only guilty people carry weapons. Or paranoid, mental illness, PTSD or some trauma,
