  1. The thing is they can only merge servers based on 'today's' population. It may not be an issue now, but we have to remember they are merging both active and INACTIVE players. Typically servers will only have about 10% of their player base active at any given time. So, a 2k active server would have 20k accounts. And with rumors of how many have gone inactive, that could even be as high as 25k or even 30k. So, even being conservative and just going off of that common figure, two servers now become 2k active, with only 5% active at a time, with 40k total accounts. If they do a big patch or change in the future, and a BUNCH of people suddenly go active, that could cause, at the very least, temporary high que times.

Been playing MMOs since '99, never really heard of server mergers 'backfiring' over long periods of time, but we have to remember that it's always possible should the player base be given a reason to come back. (With fixed server sizes like NW. With something like ESO which instances things it would never be an issue.) Especially with NW since there's no subscription fee, meaning there is zero reason preventing people from coming back if they found changes compelling enough to return.

  2. They will have to continue to do server merges if they keep being stupid. Lowering the gear score of items to the level of your WM because you didnt do our shitty end game content chest farming. How dare you do what you want in our MMO. You cannot just farm materials and craft your gear… I really hope they push this to live just to see their numbers plummet more. "Why is everyone quitting, we gave you everything we wanted".

  3. I think it's too late….what a waste of my time. Could have been really decent. Combat is still high clunky and crafting which is hugely important seems horribly broken.
