Hey guys regarding the Yamaha Carby, there is an accelerater pump lever, when you release the lever the pump lever follows , if you put a general purpose
O ring on it it improves the response on accelleration

Some of the newer carb dips are highly corrosive and can only be used for shorter periods of time. Some if you leave them overnight will eat away as so much aluminum/base metal that threaded and press fit parts will wobble and shafts for chokes and throttle plates will be too loose.
Learned this after I literally destroyed a carb using the new Gunk Dip Formula.
There were so many warnings that even on the gallon can the print was too small for these old eyes to read. Some are so caustic that you need to neutralize the stuff by washing it away afterwards with generous amounts of soap and water.

Yes that is an after market part for the carburetor. Supposed to help with trapped air flow. Increase flow to have better performance.
