For some strange reason people think betas are demos.
Hopefully they have solutions for having that the entire map be one colour and all new player who would come and play would join the dominant faction on their server which would just make that worse
Maybe have atleast 1 castle/stronghold be permanent to help at first but needs a much better solution long term
Gaming history has taught us that a lot, a lot of games were killed by pre mature release. The list goes on and on. On the other hand, there are not many games that were killed by delayed release. If a game release after delay and still failed, it almost certainly never would have made it if released early anyway. All those talk about "Delay makes people lose the hype" just doesn't make sense. A good game creates hype, if the game can be improved, then the hype certainly will remain. I liked NW beta and think it is decent enough for release but I have no problem with an extra month of delay at all.
Ive had no interest in New World since I got to play it last year but these are the kind of Devs and decisions we need in gaming. True beta testing and looking at the data collected and feedback. If the game is not ready and you release it you lose the vast majority of players but with a delay hopefully the game will be better and more people can enjoy it for longer. I may not be interested in the game but I still want it to succeed and bring a new MMO to the mix.

Im mad the delay is only a 1 month delay, it should of been 6-12 months the game needs more enemies more armor variety more npcs in the world more quests, its all the same atm this takes time to do, though it seems they arent doing it, I am ready for the game but ifs going to get boring real fast
I think the reason why some people are angry about the delay is that they don't think that what can be fixed in one month is that different from what can be fixed in two months. This is not a substantial time to fix the bigger issue in the game and the smaller ones would either be fixed in one month or they need that constant tweaking that requires constant which is something that happens after launch where you have a good amount of live data !!! Now if it is related to the server structure or server related for stability and just required that bit of extra time is completely understandable, so what I am getting at is that they could have done what FFXIV did and explain what they're hoping to fix in this extra time instead of just saying to further polish the game, this will also be a subject of a heavy criticism if things don't get fixed and the launch is similar to the Beta !!
Its official BDO is the best mmorpg rn. FF14 sucks! New World sucks!
Why would everyone be mad, the message from the NW Devs sounds like a actual real person wrote it, I '. happy they went with this decision.

I don't think everyone is mad Asmon, I think a lot of us have learned our lesson in rushing games out. LOOKING AT YOU CYBERPUNK 2077. I think we are disappointed but would rather have a good game.
Delays dont always work DNF, Cyberpunk and several other games had multiple delays but didn't come out complete. The real issue here is bullshit release times that aren't realistic that try to generate hype when the game hasn't even been a quarter of the way developed yet. In my opinion most marketing for a game shouldn't even begin until its 80% done, with no confirmed release date till it enters the bug testing phase.

The flight master camping in classic when phase 2 hit is why I completely quit classic. Just wasn’t fun and I didn’t wanna deal with it so I cancelled my sub then and went back to ESO at the time

I keep hearing people praise the crafting in nw i felt it was…. crap, you click craft and make 500 steaks in 0.5 secs how is that good ? Someone please explain this to me lol. Vanguard and FF14 has/had the best crafting in any mmo imo.

I dont get why they dont just change their request off. I just went in today and changed my request off. Also never think you are playing the first day of a MMO , there will be login issues, long waits, and probably a server restart or two. I don't recall any MMO having a smooth launch out of the many i played on first day. Tbh alot have problems 1st day of expansion even after being established for years
