I mean I suppose on a personal level, its unique to every individual but for me and how I view it, and how much I rely on my eyes like many others do, losing this sense would be devastating. All throughout history are examples of when people go blind, its basically game over for them. Set sometime in the present, a man would go blind for seemingly no reason. I don't know much about viruses but the digestive process makes the difference between certain venoms being safe to ingest but lethal if injected. There was something very funny about seeing a medication I just finished taking show up on screen. I take methylprednisolone to help break me out of extended migraines. Whenever I have ones that span more than 3 days I consider it a loop so my doctor that I see for my migraines started giving me it awhile back to take whenever I hit a loop. It luckily works like a charm which is particularly great when you have a specific type of migraine that makes you dizzy and nauseated. They're call vestibular migraines for anyone wondering and they are their own variety of hellish.
Started to watch this and thought my TV broke cause everything looked so zoomed in. About gave me a heart attack. lol

Your description on the blind spots during a migraine is exactly what I'm experiencing right now. I'm hoping I'm just dealing with a very long silent migraine because of being sick and not some major issue. Short to suffice, migraines with auras suck even when they aren't debilitatingly painful.

I'm 90% sure this started out as someones more realistic take on "Day of the Triffids". The entire world going white spin was likely added to make it more different then both "Day of the Triffids" and "Day of the Comet".
