Augustus should have named Agrippa his successor , he was to focused on his successor having to be a member of his family, later on the five good emperors gave up this way of thinking and chose the best man for the job instead of family members, and that is why they ended up being the five good emperors

  3. Simply put, without Agrippa, Augustus would have struggled — or even failed — to defeat Mark Antony and Cleopatra, which could have left the Roman world divided or under Antony's control, potentially allied with Egypt and far different in structure and ideology.
