Love this channel. The video history on the coins is just KICK ASS!!! nothing else I've found on YouTube comes close to this kind of history on ancient coins.
oh nice
classicus numismaticus is back
yes
if you want to conquer the world you need a friend like agrippa
Agrippa is the proto-wingman
Augustus should have named Agrippa his successor , he was to focused on his successor having to be a member of his family, later on the five good emperors gave up this way of thinking and chose the best man for the job instead of family members, and that is why they ended up being the five good emperors
Thank you very much for such an amazing topic ! 👍🏻👍🏻🔥🔥🔥😊
do you know agrippa?
agrippa my balls
That's the coolest crown ever hands down
Augustus and Agrippa, the original bromance.
Be the Aggripa you wish to see.
Hi Mr. Classical Numismatics,
I want to buy a Diocletian antoninianus as my first ancient coin. What are your thoughts on this pick? I am also looking at an aurelianus antoninianus
Simply put, without Agrippa, Augustus would have struggled — or even failed — to defeat Mark Antony and Cleopatra, which could have left the Roman world divided or under Antony's control, potentially allied with Egypt and far different in structure and ideology.
Great video as always, though question. with the coin pictured at 5:32 Aureus 13 BC, are the dents/scratchings someone who was testing to see if its gold all the way through? or just general wear. cheers
When I take over my home country, I'll need my own Agrippa but for now bowling and video games will do!
Nice examples Leo.
I love the lessons on history and culture that come with this channel.
Great one – loved the detail here on the human side of this
