I think Steve should write a book of letter collections from the people… especially the ones that have all the good information from old hunters and farmers. It would probably take a long time, but wouldn't it be great to have a collection like that!!

As for your pump. Being a long time contractor, I've never seen an installed pump un- thread itself, in ground or otherwise. IMHO it might have had some help, however if adventure dog is anything like my ranch dogs that's a stretch.
