As long as you cite the source it isn't plagerism. Now if I look at the source and discover that you just copy/pasted things its an F, maybe a D if you found some really good sources to steal from.

I don't even make Youtube videos and that video had me sit down and think really hard about my imposter syndrome and how much of that feeling was real imposter syndrome and how much of it was me being an imposter and honestly questioning whether my analyses were my own or someone else's that I was just repeating
But I have never knowingly copy pasted anyone's work verbatim, I guess at least I'm in the clear there

I watched Hbomberguy's entire nearly 4 hour long video just so I would understand this one. It was worth it.
Don't forget all the people calling him a breadtuber (whatever that is, sounds like a dogwhistle) and how he made the ENTIRE video to target Internet Historian. Yes that's right, that 20 minute segment was the entire video.

Also a lot of the of the problems with these copycats is their attitude after they are a found out, not the plagiarism itself.
If you you make a video and forget to credit the source, just apologize about it and re-upload an updated version or something and nobody will judge you.

Yeah. That hbomberguy video was tough to watch because of the effectiveness it had in destroying a reputation. Don't get me wrong: it's completely justified, but I still think it's kind of sad.
