As a White Scars player, devastators are incredible. You can slingshot them up the board in a rhino (lightning debarkation) and ignore the heavy penalty for 1 CP (turns weapons into assault=no penalties) so they're fast, accurate and deadly.
Shooting? Necrons? Hilariously named superweapons?
Initiative 2 came knocking, but I think that mechanic is behind the times…

How did you not add devastator centurions? They are amazing anti tank units that ignore cover and get +1 to hit roll if it stays still and has amazing range. And for Dark Angels put hellblasters? Put them with Azrael or Belial and over charge and weapons of the dark age and assault hellblasters can do up 30 damage. 32 damage if you give the Sargent a master crafter plasma.

Can Eliminators 1shot most of your characters in the first round? 2+ with s8 ap-3 and 3 dmg with ignore lookout sir means instantly dead character model?

Really love these kind of videos when all armies get compared. I know it takes longer but it really helps someone who can't play with all armies around me.

So, for the CSM, obliteraters have done some heavy lifting for me. I always drop in two, and they make either great bodyguards or great shock troops. Also, I have found time and again that a forgefiend/warpsmith combo is brutal. Almost guaranteed to hit, and the guns it has are surprisingly potent. For Chaos Knights, while the executioners have ended up being surprisingly brutal for me, the knight Abominant's Volkite Combuster is pretty destructive aimed at the right guy. 6 shots, 10 strength, 3 damage a shot, wound roll of 6 grants an additional 3 mortal wounds in addition to any other damage. Only downside is a low AP. For daemons… I'm really only familiar with daemons of Khorne, so good ol' trusty skull cannons
Admech Balistarii lascannon is assault 2.
Also the advanced version of artisan kan buff a core unit with +1 str shooting.
Ok. Clearly GW is not remotely concerned about balance if you have a freaking platform that does auto 12 shots at s10 -3 AP and d6 damage. That is just stupid.
Can't say how much I would really like GW to update Swooping Hawks and Striking Scorpions. They're my favorite Aspects, would love to see them in modern plastic.

Hm, I thought the Leagues of Votann were Human. Or…a Human offshoot, rather than Xenos, per se?
Also, anyone ever play EVE Online? I get serious Amarr vibes from Adeptus Custodes. Or, since Warhammer is older (though not sure when ACs were added as an army to it), the other way around. The gold and red color scheme and the thick elite armor (Amarr in EVE is very much about strong armor, laser guns, and combat drones)
I still haven't decided how far or what army I want to get into with 40k, but my Recruit box came in today, so excited to play with it as I consider future options/steps! 😀
who are the black knight?
I've had surprise success with Raven Guard Centurion Devastator squad. 6 las cannon with S9 AP-4 D6 and 3D3 rockets with S8 AP-2 D3 at turn one plus master of ambush can deal some heavy damage.
Flamers are probably the best shooting unit on this list but that is literally it for daemons for shooting
So im gonna has to disagree on the swooping hawks. ya they have a fun Sky leap trick but when it comes to shooting. They are pretty bad at landing wounds. Warp Spiders on the other had. can jump around the board and have a S6 -2ap will actually DMG units not just shoot a bunch of time and not be able to wound or fishing for the 6s to hit.

This is a good thing, "we" [ Necrons ] cannot cry… [ The army is getting codexified by all new ones so HARD this is painfull to watch. [ And, well.. Play! ] ]
While we should absolutely have Ignore invul' saves on hard hitting Guass Weaponry, same for some of our melee [ I am not kidding at all… ] and a greater range in genral of Very Good ranged units.
But with AOC, etc… / Damage threshold EVERYWHERE NOW [ Once more, that was "our thing" with the Necrodermus for example. ] / EVERYONE got them GUT'Z resurrections now [ Litteraly, What, The, Hell!? Games Workshop… ] / Best Anti-Armour?! [ Bitch please! No more since a while… ] / We had to PRAY for the Core keyword. / The Technologicaly most advanced "Armiy" but we do not even get some way to ignore Invul' [ Like every new one now, AGAIN! ] or Damage threshold / And i can FUCKING continue!
We can do Good thing, but the way everything goes… We are going to be the new T'au of 8th, and I PLAYED THEM TOO!!
