  1. I think I'd have went for the Land Raider for CSM. Much tougher than a Forgefiend, four Lascannons & 2 heavy Bolters aren't to be sniffed at and can dump a load of Chosen or tooled-up Legionaries right down your opponents gullet. I like the Forgefiend, but its too swingy.

  2. Onger is in a really good time by having plenty fire power+toughnessπŸ™ˆnot to mention its' point is just PERFECT for itπŸ‘πŸ»
    And for Disintergrator…well…πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  3. Here's hoping 11th Ed, Orks are the big antagonist faction, with Ufthak Blackhawk leading the Tekwaaagh!.

Bringing a ton of new Bad Moon themed Ork units, like new Tankbustas, and a proper Looted Tank for the Codex.

  4. Imo something important to note with the scorpius disintegrator, it's still relatively reliable anti tank in conquer imperative with 3 4+ missile pods and 3 +3 ferumite cannons shooting at big stuff. In conquer dunecrawler neutron laser only 3 4+ just doesn't seem that reliable to me. So the neutron laser loses too much reliability in conquer to see it as a benefit. But the disintegrator will still be reliable and can enjoy being permanently in conquer imperative.

  5. And i would like to respectfully disagree with you on Falcon as the best Aeldari tank. Lynx has the best durability and speed amongst Aeldari tanks. As for firepower, D6 maybe a bit weak but it hit 4 times so it is probable that it kill 2 terminator a turn. Against other vehicles it's not bad too .

  7. I really like my sisters Castigator. Imo the best fusion between a battle tank and religious icon. It is also proportioned nicely, with a much larger turret then the small one on the Astartes Predator.

  8. The Gladiator Lancer and all the Space Marine floating tanks look ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING, what were they thinking??? They had lovely designs in the Predator and the Land Raider!

  9. Ghostkeels. Oh boy Ghostkeels. Me and my brother have been getting into 40k recently and he plays Tau while I play the Nids. That Ghostkeel has been a menace to my forces. Although we've only been playing at around 500-700 points or so since that's the size of his collection

  10. Because miracle dice generation was moved off of battle sister squads (BSS) and onto the wargear they carry I see much less point in using Immolators to split BSS specifically. Previously this gave you an additional miracle dice farming unit, it no longer does. I think they're now much better used to split Dominions to rapidly deliver a quad meltagun attack where the Immolator's own weapons can negate cover on vehicles generally reducing them to a 6+ save. Remember having Dominions loaded into the Immolator confers a Scout 6" rule onto it as well. None of this sacrifices miracle dice generation either since both squads are equal cost.

  11. 3 Vindies are really the only strong move for SM. Lancer goes poof after one round of shooting. Vindie has a 2+ and T11 is a surprisingly more survivable breakpoint

  12. It's probably a meme, but the Gatling Russ has dev wounds against infantry on top of the lethal hits against vehicles/monsters. So with 20 shots of 4+ S4 AP0 D1 it might actually be more than a complete meme now.

  13. I am no longer sure about the battle canon over the auto-canons for the Castigator.
Yes, they last do not ignore cover, but for example, now immolators remove coverage from a unit they hit.
I think that you could pummel a unit to the ground by combing the immolator removal of coverage and the castigator autocanons. And if they survive, then anyone else can have also AP -1 and ignore cover against them.
The battle canon was much superior before because you could reroll against monsters and vehicles which were your primary targets, while autocanons only against infantry, which would be a waste of a Castigator. But now the autocanons can be quite useful against everything because they are twin linked, while the battle canon is not. It means that they are as good against anything below 9T, and they can be as effective against T10+, since the reroll is similar to +1 to wound.
Both are a mixture of anti tank/monster and anti infantry, there is no longer a clear cut on which one to choose for which target.
With the autocanons you have to get much closer, 24" vs 48", for it to be effective, as it has 4 attacks and Rapid Fire 4, while the battle canon has d6+3 and blast.

As mentioned, both are a very interesting mixture both damage and keywords for all targets, not being the best against anyone but also not too bad against anyone.

  14. Skorpius is a lot better at shooting than the Dunecrawler. Ironstriders are better tanks than Dunecrawler if you take the same points worth of them. Dunecrawler isn't a unit you take as a tank shooting, it's a unit you take for it's durability. The Mathshammer sheet on Dunecrawler activations is not very good. It's A LOT of points too expensive for what it is.

  15. The Lancer is undoubtedly the most over-performing AT vehicle in the marine codex!
I run 2 in each list; and my latest game I used 2 alongside a plethora of Wolf Cavalry and Wulfen – victory of 93 to 72.

Opponent brought 4 tanks (3 castigators & 1 immolator); each Lancer took out 1 castigator each by the end of round 2 (first Castigator destroyed by end of Round 1).

We were both shocked at its damage as the first shot did 8; and the second did 6. Also, I kept it alive all game against the remaining castigator & AT Infantry by using Smoke & AoC. Saving on 4s and 5s against AP -3 & -4
