The US perfected the art of the coup to push out leaders it didn’t like and install leaders it did. In this story I go through some of the major US-led coups to explore how the US rose to power and stayed there.

  1. All the coups to throw out democratically elected communists and replace them with right wing dictators are morally wrong. But I am glad that globalization was a success for the most part to eliminate absolute poverty, and communism was dead with USSR. Today no one, not even Russia and China, believe in communism.

  2. It is FALSE that there was resistence in Puerto Rico prior to the annexation to the US. Puerto Rico was an integral part of Spain, recognized in equality to the remaining provinces in European Spain.

  3. I have been following your videos for a long time but I feel that South America is something you always avoid investigating more, in this video it is ridiculous. Chile must be the most famous and deepest case on this subject and you mention it for barely 10 seconds!!!!

  4. Didn't mention the very recent political coup in Pakistan where the ousted prime minister has accused US involvement and even a US white house representative confirming this involvement by answering an indirect question by reporter.

  5. Suddenly everyone is a history expert on the subject down in the comments lol, these examples were made short and sweet when they could be better explained and proof be shown in the form of evidence, documents, and pictures showing what was being described. But no let's just throw out all of history and say america bad communism had it so hard and socialism is a good example of a "democracy". I'd hate for America to be a democracy, all of them have failed, though a representative republic with checks and balances and a bill of rights is just the thing that's kept the USA strong and put together. There's room for improvement though. The people of today are not responsible for the actions of dead politicians and businessmen, we actually have them to thank for our privileged lives. We don't have to be like them now though, but for sure we don't need to become the most deadly form of government in history either.

  6. REAL history, thank you. It's worth pointing out Mossadegh was democratically elected, made Iran a secular society and made Man of the Year by Time Magazine -before the US-UK coup, for his attempt to give the oil back to the Iranian people, (nationalised with profits given back to the people).

  7. Found you through Nebula, but I don't have any money so I cannot switch platforms. Good video, I am sad b/c it sounds like you were unable to empathize w/ the other nations until the 2016 RUS influence shitstorm. I hope that this new* perspective encourages you to question govt/media actions from within the US and also makes you support election reforms that secure the vote, and secure the right to vote, in a way that is actually representative of the will of the people… not the politicians selecting their voters or corporations buying votes through underregulated financial backing.
